We love this restaurant and visit every time we are in Newport. Had friends in town from Tampa and took them here for dinner. Everything was excellent (as usual). Seated at an outdoor table (requested a view when making reservation and it was nicely accommodated.) Our server was Emily who was excellent. She knows the menu well, her timing was superb and she was very friendly. Dining room manager Rhom, checked in on us and was very friendly as well. The cod entree was the favorite...
Our 26th trip to the Newport Boat. Show that always includes lunch at the Moorings. Eating lunch out on the deck overlooking the show is a wonderful experience. The lamb & pita sandwich was delicious. should have asked for more of the saucee - delicious. See you next year!
We really had high expectations for this restaurant given the positive reviews we read. Unfortunately while some aspects were good other not so good aspects overshadowed the entire experience. It began with the cocktails. We ordered dirty martinis and inquired if they had blue cheese olives. Our server sad yes but they were and extra $2. Really?? We are from NYC and needless to say have had our fair share of dirties. None of us in our group had EVER heard of being charged an added...
