Please please please look into getting a better hostess. 9/12/2025 all the seats at the bar are empty and two tables are available outside around 7pm. She said everything is reserved. I purposely walked by 30 mins later all those spots were still empty. You lost a sale just because your teenage hostess does not know how reservations work.

Enjoyed an amazing dinner here . The food is great & prepared well. Started with the Caesar salad which was very good & enjoyed tasting the hint of anchovies. For dinner shared the mission cut ribeye steak. You order it in ounces & the smallest cut imstarts at 26 oz which is perfect for two people to share. It was so tender & juicy & cooked perfectly as we requested rare plus. For a side dish we ordered the shishito peppers which, very flavorful. Dessert was the panna cottage. Having lived in Newport for a very long time, I can’t believe it’s taken this long to dine at this lovely establishment even though it has been on my bucket list for awhile. We sat at the bar to enjoy watching the cooks prepare the dishes as it an open kitchen. It does have a lively vibe so can get a bit noisy, but all in all a great dining experience & I think one of the best steakhouses on the island. I will definitely return. Service was impeccable. Our waiter & sorry I forgot his name made some great recommendations.

Amazing meal, great patio & reasonably priced. I’ve had the mission cuts here that they are known for and i went with the hanger steak + a lobster tail & liked the hanger much better. The raviola and Caesar salad are absolute musts for apps, incredible.

Exceeded recommendations and expectations! Definitely make a reservation because people were turned away which shows how popular this place is. Our hostess was so nice and even took our request to sit outside. We started off with the dinner rolls and butter. Y'all this bread is not a joke..... This was the start to an off the charts meal. We got the hanger and my strip with the potatoes. All cooked to perfection and delicious. Amazing experience

Technique and presentation were good, but the flavors weren't there. The mission cut steak should have been phenomenal for almost $100, but it was fatty and bland. It required the bonito brown butter. It should have been prepped with a bit of pepper or something. I make a better steak at home

We have been coming to Newport for quite some time and stumbled across this place. YOU MUST HAVE RESERVATIONS…it’s rare they have an opening so don’t take it personal when they say NO and offer you a time much later in the day.

We tried a few times 🤣

We were finally able to book a table a few months outs as we are from Long Island. The ambience is awesome with the kitchen in full site. They remind of us a local restaurant they we use to love that was farm to table but unfortunately they closed down due to lease issues.

What they have on their menu is what they have…can’t deviate from it.

We got their Hanger Steak, lobster, potatoes, Brussels sprouts and some chocolate dessert. We also ran up our bill with their delicious $15 cocktails 🤣

Hanger steak was cooked to perfection and presentation was amazing. They had shallot hidden the dish that amazing! I got their BBQ Black Pepper dip for the steak and it was great.

THEY DO NOT HAVE FREE BREAD at the table you have to pay for it. We opted not to do so but another table ordered it and I understand why 🤣

We left behind full and glad we didn’t get an app. We barely had room and didn’t even finish our dessert.

Our bill was high bc we drank a few cocktails that were $15 each. If you didn’t drink the price to eat here is very reasonable around $50 PP

We booked weeks out as we are coming from Long Island AND NEVER DISAPPOINTED!

Please use common sense and NOT complain noise as well since it’s an OPEN KITCHEN AND VERY BUSY RESTAURANT. People are going to talk and have a good time…deal with it!

Last time we got the hanger steak this time we got the strip! My wife couldn’t finish her meal and I struggled to finish it for her 🤣

As usual we padded our bill with $15 plus delish cock tails!

Our server was amazing!

When you order steak you get one choice of dip for the steak! It is actually enough for two people so each person should pick a different one bc sharing is caring!

We got the Bearnice Butter and black garlic BBQ. We did the black garlic BBQ in the past so we knew it was good. Bearnice sauce was amazing and we both dipped into that with every bite. We didn’t even touch the Black Garlic BBQ 🤣

We got their mash potatoes which is to die for as well as their broccolini with tahini, almond and bacon. You couldn’t even taste the tahini which is good bc my wife doesn’t do spicy!

WE WILL BE BACK!

mmmm great food BUT all that was served to us was cold, they re-heater out meals but they were still cold. Looks to me that service staff not picking plate at right time. it reuined the experience. It's terrible for the $$$

To find the words to describe the experience I just had at the Thames street kitchen would be an exhausting mental endeavor. So I will default to say I am speechless. Not only because I am a mute (vocal cord injury), but because the aura of this establishment is as overwhelming as a 1937 Burgandy from the undercarriage of Southern France. The food struck my soul with the power, speed, and grace of a Jamaican bobsledder. The service was as prophetic as the New Testament. My bartender with the man bun delivered water before I was thirsty, suggested foods I didn’t know I was craving, and (hopefully) predicted I would lose my virginity in my early 40’s. The soundtrack to my dining experience could not have been more oratorally pleasurable if it was a Jock Jams Volume IV. The lighting left me feeling romantic, yet dangerous. I am not sure what I am going to do after this meal, but getting a tsk tattoo on my lower back is not out of the equation.

At the hotel, they said it was fine dining but it’s not small picnic tables, bacon, bits, and salad limited menu. It’s just a bar with a few rickety tables

Poor service from the bar staff, took incredibly too long for drinks to be delivered(over 30 minutes) and steak came out lukewarm and had to ask twice for our sides to be delivered. Food was reasonably decent once delivered. I think they have more of a staffing / management issue imho. Was disappointed enough to write this review.

The food was great, but had a negative staff experience.

Had a great dinner - we were in Newport for a reunion trip. Food was really good, we loved the steak and salad and all of the apps.

However - we were there for an 8pm reservation on a Friday night and had a very challenging customer experience. The restaurant was very loud - we were a larger group and chatting to each other at a large table above the noise. We had multiple instances of a staff member ‘sushing’ us without saying words to ask us to quiet down and then later had a staff member walk by to say nothing but ‘you ladies are screaming’.

Further, the waitress proceeded to tell us ‘we had to leave in two minutes because they needed the table’ at 10:15 even though the restaurant was closed and the restaurant was full of other patrons.

If there was an issue, we would have appreciated more straightforward and polite communication or request to quiet down.

Needless to say - we would not recommend for groups.

The best Caesar Salad I have! Delicious drinks and Amazing food, Hanger steak add on Lobster tail Surf N Turf, Halibut add on mushrooms, surprisingly tasty 👍!
