I wasn’t really impressed with the drinks up here, but everything else about this place makes it worth a visit. There was a wait when we initially checked in, but we found that tables moved fast and we were able to enjoy the town for around 20 minutes until we were texted about availability. On that note, the host staff were amazing and very helpful, offering directions around the hotel and how to get around, as well as clear explanations on wait times. They were so amazing!...
For our first full day in Newport and with nice weather, my girlfriends and I thought a rooftop dining experience would be perfect. The view was great but likely not a place we will return. We were fine with a limited menu of snacks since we assumed we'd just get a cocktail and some bites but the cheese plate was not only disappointing because of the very aggressive cheeses chosen for the plate but the sever set it before us with no explanation to even what they were. Great view of Newport! Drinks are good and food selection, while limited, was very good. Shrimp cocktail was surprisingly good with very large, flavorful shrimp. Oysters were fresh and tasty. Pimento cheese offering was a surprise and one if my wife's favorites. Reservations highly recommended to assure a table, especially on weekends. On sunny days, be sure to bring a hat and / or sunglasses as there is no shade on the rooftop.
