Bar was supposed to open at 3 but all the bartenders were still setting up when we got there a little past 3. We were also told that the kitchen wouldn’t be open for an hour so we wouldn’t be able to order any food. Staff was visibly stressed. Not sure what the deal was. We had very high expectations given the fact that this is at the top of a high end hotel but it was really just a cluster f.

Rooftop bar with a great view, good service, nice seating options, & good drinks. Whether you want to relax by yourself or with a date to watch the sunset, this is a great spot. The live music was a great added benefit.

Beautiful setting. Slow service, I'm sure due to a staffing shortage, but wow! Super slow. Another bartender came on and waitstaff, but I feel they never caught up. Bartender was busy and it showed on his face. Staff was stressed.

Love this location and the couches on the roof deck! Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the service can be very very slow at the bar. I'm sure they're just down staffed due to COVID but worth coming for the view and vibes.

Eh. very expensive but nothing special. It is designed for tourists, service was slow/bad. Not local staff so they couldn't answer anyquestions. No free parking. Go elswhere.

Rating 3 stars just for the view. Drinks were mediocre at best. Instead of telling us they were out of a certain drink, they just brought over 3 margaritas.... Which were 3 dollars more than the drinks we actually ordered. The bartender was one of the slowest i've seen, & by no means were they even busy. I would go again to try their small snack menu, but definitely stick to wine or beer.
Went during the week for some drinks for my birthday and wow what a treat! First time being here, bites were tasty and the bartender Jordan was friendly and attentive. Cocktails were awesome. Went on a cloudy day, but views were still lovely. We will be back!

The ambiance was superb; however, drink glasses were very dirty. One of the glasses had lipstick smudged on the rim. Drinks were not up to par. I wish I could have finished my drink.

Excellent waiters, service, and drinks! Live music and an incredible sunset made this a great start to our Friday evening adventures. John and Devin at the bar were very attentive and great company between helping everyone enjoy their evenings. Will return for sure!

Dan and Dan are so fantastic. These bartenders are exceptional. We went on a Monday Tuesday in the off season. Both of these bartenders showed us an amazing and entertaining experience. They invented and discussed unique craft cocktails. They went above and beyond and I recommend it to anyone visiting Newport, whether or not you're staying at Viking.
