Yagi Noodles is a unique restaurant that fuses Japanese and Korean cuisine, but made for the American palate. Large servings, tasty dishes, and friendly staff.

Rachel, our server, was super upbeat and knowledgeable. The ramen is the best in the state, in my opinion, and I have tried a lotof ramen in RI. Yagi makes their own noodles, I don’t believe there are any other ramen joints in RI who do that. And FINALLY a good restaurant in Newport. They needed one! Boba is great as well, dairy alternatives and awesome flavors. There were also caffeine free options for my kids. We will definitely be back.

From the moment we walked in until the time we left, there was nothing but joy and delight. The hostess and the servers genuinely looked like they were so happy to not only work there but also to serve the incredible delectable food. My friends and I ordered a smattering of choices - all in celebration of the Chinese New Year. My only disappointment was learning that the appetizer part of the menu was only temporary because I’m already dreaming of when I can get back to have the Brussels sprouts, the sweet and sour chicken, the dumplings. The main menu of noodle bowls were interesting, buttery, fresh and stunning art work in a bowl-not to mention the mocktail selection and wild desserts - hint warm cookies - yowza. I- we- loved this experience and am so happy that the James Beard Nomination is what piqued our interest on a random Saturday night- keep up the good work- dining out is way more than just a great meal- especially for 4 people who love to cook and love to stay home with Netflix and our own meals- but last night at Yagi got these 2 old couples out of our comfort zones and into the world of delicious Yagi! Can’t wait to go back.Parking: February in Newport is easy to find parking -

My husband and I had a great dinner here. The brussel sprouts were a must get, so much flavor! The bao buns and ramen were also excellent. Our server, Tom, was so hospitable. We were so impressed with the food, ambiance, and hospitality. The chef was just nominated for a James Beard award, and it’s easy to see why. We are still talking about the delicious dinner days later.

What a delicious treat. I'm a local not a local but read that the chef is up for best chef for james beard award. I can walk to this great spot and was not going to let another day pass without a meal here. So after the Saturday farmers market I walked over and enjoyed food so full of flavor and thought, every detail. For appetizer I enjoyed the chicken karaage. It's Korean fried chicken either naked or two types of sauce. I went with the sweet chili. It was so filling, crunchy, and everything my southern craving needed trying to survive this north east world. I could make this a meal next time.I had a hot tea in between my app and entree to reset my palette. A separate tea menu is avail on request and I found a tea I've never seen before served with just a touch of honey. I shouldn't say I would come back here for the tea. But I would. The name escapes me. But it was their only oolong tea and maybe "buds milk." Yes please. For my entree, I enjoyed the tantanmen. It was such an interesting take on ramen with a creamy (yes correct) broth like gravy that complemented the house made Raman. I was practically full but ate a good portion. The bite was nuanced with a spice but not overpowering. It felt savory and good. I want this bowl on a cold north east day. Something about the way the broth coated my tongue made ea taste addicting. I wanted more.I did enjoy the house made desert. I had cookies and milk tea. The cookies (2) were served warm. The cocoa and cherry together with a sip of my brown sugar milk tea just made me giddy from the nostalgic flavor.I would come back. I get the james beard nomination for best chef. The food is clever and delicious. Newport doesn't really know how lucky they are with this chef right here and open in the off season too. Thanks for a great lunch and very gracious service who guided my culinary moments perfectly.I hope you win the nomination!!

Hands down the best spot in Newport to eat. Always tastes fresh and every dish we’ve tried has tons of flavor. We always leave happily full and have to stop ourselves from going every week - it’s just so good! Not to mention their awesome staff who is always super friendly. I’ve lived in Newport for quite a while and Yagi is by far my favorite!Vegetarian options: The staff is super accommodating for dietary needs.

Got the tonkatsu ramen and a masala hot tea. SO delicious! This is the best ramen I have had up here, extremely rich and flavorful. I got my order to go and the packaging is very nice and doesn't leak. Will definitely be back.
