Food and wine list are bomb. Staff is super friendly and great!! 3 stars because they need to work on the environment/vibe. It was SO cold when we went that we all kept our coats on, so, curtains at both entrances to keep in heat are really necessary. Fluorescent lighting at the bar is also not pleasant as well as a direct view into where all dirty dishes are being washed. Other than that, awesome little spot for an easy and delicious meal.

It’s very small and dark. More romantic-date type atmosphere. Food was pricey but delicious.

We prefer to sit at the bar. It is very small and open to the small kitchen. The food is delicious. I wish the bar atmosphere was more like a restaurant, but the food itself made me turn a blind eye to that part. I will definitely go back.

This place is very special. Unique wing flavors with meat that literally falls off the bone, super fresh tasty salads with flavorful dressings, outstanding entrees with interesting ingredients and memorable flavors, and AMAZING homemade fresh-daily desserts. Also, they offer a fun cocktail menu. They recently relocated to a very comfortable open-kitchen dining room environment with small bar on a cute little downtown street in North Providence. I absolutely love this place and cannot wait to go back soon. Chris & Taylor make magic every time their business is putting out food.

Their new location is quaint and chic. Perfect for a date night! The sweet potato hummus is out of this world. Their fall menu is the epitome of comfort food mixed with creativity. Highly recommend!

Went to their previous location fairly regularly. New location hits exactly as I think they intended and made refinements in the exact areas. The new setting is definitely more intimate and encourages diners to share in the timeless practice of real life conversations with strangers (if you are so inclined). Ingredients still sourced locally from some of the same small town farms I frequent. This is a gem.

Restaurantji Recommends
Been coming here since their initial location in Greenville. Went to their new location and loved it. Definitely smaller, but loved the intimate setting. Especially when guests embrace the concept. It’s like you’re all experiencing dining together prompting conversation with strangers gathering for the common love of food. Love everything about this new place. Oh and the food is still phenomenal.
Everything I ordered was delectable. From the peach bourbon glaze wings (du jour) to the savory rich creamy orecchiette, the experience was immaculate.

Cook & Dagger has been my go-to Rhode Island restaurant since 2018, and it’s always the first place I recommend. Now celebrating 10 years and newly relocated from Smithfield to North Providence, this spot stands out as one of the best restaurants in Rhode Island.
Chris and Taylor have built something phenomenal — a North Providence restaurant that’s creative, consistent, and always memorable. From holiday sides to seasonal specials, every meal feels like an experience.
Last week my friend and I had the croquettes, crispy Brussels sprouts, jalapeño watermelon wings, tacos, and a Caesar salad topped with crispy-skin salmon — all phenomenal.
Must-order dishes: Brussels sprouts, all the wing flavors, croquettes, poutine, and the chocolate mousse pie.
If you’re searching for the best restaurants in Rhode Island or unforgettable dining in North Providence, Cook & Dagger belongs at the very top of your list.

Had food at the North Providence Village Festival in Centredale and it was amazing! Can’t wait to return! It’s the perfect intimate and smaller place than their last location!
