The chicken and biscuits from Raise the Roost inside the 7-Eleven on Newtown Road and Providence are, by far, the worst I've ever had. The chicken was either overcooked and dry, with burnt outsides and —likely due to improper fryer temperatures or incorrect timer settings. The coating was thick and cakey, indicating poor preparation. Even the green beans had no seasoning or taste. I recommend not using salt if you decide to season. To top it off, the bathrooms were in horrible...

**The Atmosphere criterion here does not apply**A southern fried chicken and fried fish place INSIDE a 7-11. Hmm. I am IN.Ever since Popeye's stopped serving dirty rice, catfish, and jumbo fried shrimps, I've been wishing for a fast serve spot to take over the reins on these items. It’s really decent fried chicken for being a grab-and-go inside of a 7Eleven. I was really surprised, and enjoyed it. Just wouldn’t necessarily call it quick-serve or a restaurant, but the chicken biscuits and sandwiches are good.
