Everything was terrific. Perfectly cooked. Homey atmosphere but very limited seating. Cindy is skilled at her craft. Portions were average. No leftovers. Everything, and I mean everything, is a side. Coffee nearly $4.00 a cup, bacon, sausage, hash browns…all extra. Family of four average eaters be prepared to drop a c-note with tip. Coffee was strong just how my grandma use to make it.

A lovely, local greasy spoon. This is the sort of place you don't commonly find anymore. The food was delicious. The staff was friendly, quick to sit us, take our order, and bring us our food. The restaurant was clean and decorated nicely. I highly recommend this place!

The service is great however the food prices are extremely high for a little diner could use a little TLC on the inside $17 for a Caesar salad is a bit much but they made up for it by being extremely friendly and

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast one day and loved it! We've been coming by every chance we get. All the food is absolutely delicious, the portions are generous, the coffee is strong, and all the staff are very friendly! If you ever find yourself in the Newport/Portsmouth area, make sure to stop by at Cindy's!

My favorite diner on the island! Huge portions and the cutest atmosphere. The food is excellent, with lots of great options. We will go whenever we are craving a delicious breakfast.

The Portuguese french toast was the size of my head, the side of bacon isn't just 2 or 4 strips (it's MULTIPLE FISTFULS), the prices are great, Cindy is a delight, the women's restroom was stocked with pads and tampons and contact solution. I'll definitely be back.

Old school rural family fun style cafe, had their special of the day pepperoni peppers and mozzarella omelet with sour dough bread. Omlet cooked just right.

Stopped in on our way to Rail Explorers. The french toast and chouriço omelet were both great. Whatever's in the home fries is straight up magic. Seriously. Cindy knows what's up.

Delicious homemade breakfast with very friendly staff! A great breakfast before doing the Rail Explorers Experience!

THE BEST omelette and muffins we have ever had! The pancakes, benedicts, and stuffed Portuguese French toast are also incredible. This is our favorite kind of spot to find when we travel: a humble roadside cafe that has outstanding food. The staff are also very friendly and lovely. We will be coming back to Portsmouth just to eat at Cindy’s!

Best brunch! Everything was perfect-scrambled eggs with potatoes and raisin bread. Made it the meal of the day!

Really great food! We stopped in while visiting RI. I had the delicious, fluffy buttermilk pancake and my boyfriend had the Portuguese omlette and home fries. He went on and on about the home fries, seasoned and crispy. Cindy was very nice as were the others.

Our breakfast was average, nothing that would call us for a return visit. It blew us away that every dish was disposable -- in this time! Really?! My husband asked for a refill of his coffee, and they even brought him another disposable cup with lid. Despite the sign on the wall that says they provide straws only upon request, they brought a whole set-up of disposables with straws automatically included. Wow. We're from out of state. I can tell that Rhode Island is trying, (other restaurants are doing it right) but these guys didn't get the message.

We had a great breakfast! I had one of their omelet specials, and my husband had a breakfast sandwich. I asked for gluten-free options, and they had a wonderful bread for toast. The potatoes were seasoned and cooked perfectly, which is unusual in our experience. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area!
