Everything was terrific. Perfectly cooked. Homey atmosphere but very limited seating. Cindy is skilled at her craft. Portions were average. No leftovers. Everything, and I mean everything, is a side. Coffee nearly $4.00 a cup, bacon, sausage, hash browns…all extra. Family of four average eaters be prepared to drop a c-note with tip. Coffee was strong just how my grandma use to make it.

A lovely, local greasy spoon. This is the sort of place you don't commonly find anymore. The food was delicious. The staff was friendly, quick to sit us, take our order, and bring us our food. The restaurant was clean and decorated nicely. I highly recommend this place!

The service is great however the food prices are extremely high for a little diner could use a little TLC on the inside $17 for a Caesar salad is a bit much but they made up for it by being extremely friendly and

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast one day and loved it! We've been coming by every chance we get. All the food is absolutely delicious, the portions are generous, the coffee is strong, and all the staff are very friendly! If you ever find yourself in the Newport/Portsmouth area, make sure to stop by at Cindy's!

This is a legit neighborhood diner where chef Cindy and the staff knows a lot of people coming through the door. The prices don't appear to be affected by Covid, but they're doing the precautionary thing of serving on disposable plates and utensils - without sacrificing any flavor or portion sizes. We came here on a Sunday morning hungry and I'll be honest - we're not here for a salad (nor do they serve them I don't think). My French toast was so fluffy, it brought back many memories from my childhood. The potatoes/ chorizo hash was loved by all my friends - though a little too spicy for me due to having a cold. While I'm sure they take card, I noticed everyone was paying cash so we followed suit. Tip well, they deserve it!

I came here for breakfast with a group of 4 people on a Sunday morning. The place was definitely a local spot. We ordered the special apple/blue cheese/bacon omelette (came with potato hash and toast), the Portuguese French toast, the blueberry pancakes, and the Texas Benny eggs benedict. The portions were very large and the prices were reasonable. They have a side of 6 oz ribeye steak for $10 which seems like a good deal (hey I'm from NYC haha). I liked the Portuguese French toast the most since it was very fluffy and not dense like other French toasts. They do use paper plates and plastic cutlery but you know, it's still during COVID-19 times.

Stopped in today for lunch and at first questioned if it was open. Fantastic place, breakfasts looked great and I had a tuna melt with fries which was perfectly done. Ended up getting one of the homemade muffins and it was terrific. Breakfast and lunch spot which is just great with the owner cooking the food and excellent service.

My favorite diner on the island! Huge portions and the cutest atmosphere. The food is excellent, with lots of great options. We will go whenever we are craving a delicious breakfast.

The Portuguese french toast was the size of my head, the side of bacon isn't just 2 or 4 strips (it's MULTIPLE FISTFULS), the prices are great, Cindy is a delight, the women's restroom was stocked with pads and tampons and contact solution. I'll definitely be back.

Old school rural family fun style cafe, had their special of the day pepperoni peppers and mozzarella omelet with sour dough bread. Omlet cooked just right.

Small restaurant that you could easily miss if you aren't paying attention. This place was amazing. The staff was extremely friendly. The restaurant is small inside and feels very homey. The food was delicious and affordable. I got the D.O.T. breakfast sandwich and would highly recommend. The English muffin was incredible. Head here on your next trip to Newport/Middletown.

Have been to Cindy's for breakfast twice now and both times the food has been fantastic! This past time I ordered the special French toast stuffed with berries. It was massive! The bacon and coffee were also a plus.
