Shelby greeted us at the door and assisted us with our parking needs and Thomas was our server and provided us with great service. The food was excellent.

COLLAPSE of a LONGTIME PROVIDENCE LANDMARKEver since the early 1980s, when I was a grad student at Brown, this Greek restaurant and bar has somehow managed to defy the drip-by-drip decline of Thayer Street into a gauntlet of fast food. That is, until this past weekend, when my wife and I relied on it to entertain friends and colleagues and were simply stunned by what’s taken the place of our trusty standby. Is Andreas under new management? I’m not sure. But what else could explain the sudden installation of giant-screen TVs that now flash and flicker and dominate even the dining area (!) — not to mention mysteriously substandard dishes. Our reservation had never been received, many standard wines were missing from the shrunken wine list, and dishes we’d enjoyed for decades were completely revamped. As just one example, the Chicken Gyro Platter had suddenly devolved into a mess of soggy zucchini bits, stale pita triangles, and chicken scraps that were saturated in what tasted like taco seasoning. Sadly, I can confirm that Thayer Street, including this former stalwart, is now an utterly lost soul. Go instead to Wickenden, or Wayland Square, or downtown.

Probably the worst Gyro I’ve ever had and I’ve had plenty. It was very dry and thinly sliced so I think it was frozen meat rather than fresh off the spit. The service was equally poor because she never stopped by to refill drinks.

This was the worst experience I had at a restaurant in my life ,the only good thing was the great hostess Shelby who made sure even though we wasn't happy with the food she made sure we left in a better mood !!she went out her way to make sure we had what we need .

We ordered take out, the mezze platter and a cup of avgolemono soup. I crave this lemon-y porridge on a weekly basis and this absolutely satisfied my craving! The mezze platter was filled with tons of good quality and tasty meats, veggies, and feta cheese. Even having it for leftovers for lunch the day after, everything still tasted amazing! Definitely will be back for more!

Food was terrible owner was outrageously disrespectful. I wouldn't recommend my step dog to come here. Only good thing about my meal was the tap water ! ... Food was not season right overpriced do not come

The food I got was awful. The spanekopita was soggy, not crunchy at all, it did not taste of feta, the spinach was browish, tasted dull, just awful. The baked feta was dry as a bone and the sun-dried tomatoes were tough and chewy, the capers were flacid. It was a complete waste of money.

Invited for a double date with friends and was happy to try a place I've yet to visit! Had heard good things about Andreas, and yet tonight, most of our meal fell short. The service was not great either as our waiter was bringing over the check while one of our party was still eating and ended up redoing them as we wanted to order desert and I ordered an expresso, which sadly was bland in flavor. My and my wifes meals were both over driven by the cheese casing, as the content inside was not very well seasoned as described. The end result was the only delite was the hostess! Maybe we will try it again one day

My first time at Andrea's was truly enjoyable. I wanted an authentic Mediterranean dish and chose the grilled whole fish Bronzini. I also had a Stoli doli martini and both items were delectable and highly recommended.

Great experience. Wife and I sat at the bar. Great service, my wife had a "Instagram worthy" flaming espresso martini!! Food was made to order, and came out hot and fresh. Would definitely go again!

The food is good but not very authentic to Greek cuisine, the flavors just were not fully there in comparison to other places. I had the lamb gyro meal, pita dip platter(personal favorite) and Especially the avgolemono! Tasted like a can of chicken soup, lacking in Greek flavor, EGG and LEMON soup. Not chicken soup.
