Local RI chain that serves great Mexican fast food.
My colleagues from Providence have been telling me to try Baja’s for months. According to them, it’s basically an upgraded Chipotle with a much bigger menu. Drove down for a late-night meal, and since this location by Brown is the only one open past midnight, it was still pretty busy even on a Sunday.
The first thing that caught my eye was the chimichangas. I haven’t had one since my college days, so I had to get it. Not as fat or indulgent as the one I used to get in NC, but the protein options here were much better. They go lighter on the rice and beans by default, so it didn’t hit the same level of comfort-food fullness.
Also grabbed a steak burrito bowl, and that was exactly what my colleagues meant. Fresh toppings, good sauces, and most importantly, steak that’s freshly grilled. Not the dry pre-made stuff you get at most chains.

Love this place always feel welcomed, . Food is fresh right infront of you,although you have multiple people that serve you, the line moves pretty quick with great portions of food

I really enjoy the fact that they use New England based Cabot dairy products, and they constantly replenish the service bar with fresh products. They are also never frugal with their portions, always eager to make sure an appetite is satisfied.

My go-to for fast, fresh and delicious Mexican food! The guys are generous with portions and know how to fold ma huge burrito. I love getting a beans and rice bowl, they add French fries which is sinfully good. Sitting area is homey and comfortable.

I’m not sure what’s going on over here. I have been going to Bajas for many years and I went today 8/17 to get the chipotle chicken. It was so spicy and unenjoyable to eat very disappointed. Whoever made it did not care and put way too much chipotle peppers in the recipe cause it’s never like this. I have gotten the chipotle chicken many times.

Ive been going to this place since it opened over 10 years ago, and it never disappoints. Its no surprise that they've opened so many additional locations since. I've moved out of state, but make sure to stop by for a burrito or chimichonga every time I'm in town. My wife always gets a quesadilla.
I been in all bajas.this bajas has much better food but the guy who fills foods is doesn't know how to do that the bowl has to be filled up i don't think only 6 7 pieces of steak will be enough for that bowl he's literally topping that much in to the bowl. To get as much as steak like the other bajas filled up you have to pay extra for it in this location i mean im not ordering veggie bowl thats a steak bowl half spoon is not right not professional,bc the guy just filled up the spoon with the steak he's just put half in to the bowl half in to the steak area back at least you can try to fill up a spoon instead of half spoon in to the bowl.definitely better foods worst service.

This Tex-Mex place had so many options to choose from and the portions were super generous. The ingredients tasted fresh and were well seasoned. I will definitely try this place again.
