Decent spot in a pinch if you’re at the station. But I’d skip the egg sandwich next time; the tepid egg seemed like it was microwaved.

This is going to sound obnoxious but I had just got back from Europe and was like 'I can't go back to this, standing in line amongst tables to hold my awful food in a bag' but was I ever surprised by this great little place - especially the taste of the coffee and the excellence of the staff. Thank you for the soft landing, Cafe La France!

Dropped by today for a quick lunch around noon. Amazing sandwiches, to say the least. I would eat here every day if I could. Fresh ingredients, delicious grilled bread, and ample portions - this place is absolutely worth your time and money.

In 2020, I found out my father had died while standing waiting for a coffee at Cafe La France. I nearly passed out. The staff were amazing, I will never forget their kindness. Also the mozzarella basil and tomato sandwich is always fresh and fantastic.

Excellent choice of creative sandwiches and good breads. Comfortable outdoor area and so convenient right at the train station.

I was a bit early for my train. Decided to grab a coffee, added a grill cheese to enjoy. They are very nice and friendly and the grill cheese made me dance of joy. 5 ?

We grabbed a coffee and a scone/croissant as we waited for our train, which was lovely. Staff was very friendly, and I asked some d*** questions that I bet they get tired of answering. They sell tickets for the MBTA Commuter Rail, but you need cash (or buy your ticket on the MBTA train w/a card). However, you can use a credit/debit card to purchase food there.

The food and coffee here are good. However it is not wheelchair accessible. The tables and chairs are all high top, except for one extremely uncomfortable (and cold!) metal set they added as an afterthought. Furthermore, they are so packed together that I find it impossible to navigate to the counter whenever they are busy, which is pretty much any time I'm there, because butts in chairs can't be moved out of the way without inconveniencing like 50 people. Any lines make it worse. The writing for the menus is also pretty cramped, and they are handwritten. Although the writing is tidy, if you have any vision problems or processing impairments, be sure to leave extra time to decipher the menu.TLDR if you don't have a walking friend to help you order while they are busy, you're out of luck. If you can't climb the tables and chairs and want to sit someplace that is not tiny and metal , you are also out of luck.

Funny enough, this is actually one of my favorite cafes in PVD. It's a super convenient location downtown, right inside the Amtrak/commuter rail station. The sandwich options are plenty! The drinks are smooth and well-mixed. Great place to sit and work and chat. Or wait for your train, of course.

So glad this place is in the Amtrak station. $5 excellent breakfast sandwiches where you can get focaccia for no extra charge. Really great priced vegetarian salads and to-go sandwiches. Such a lovely surprise to have such an awesome and cute cafe.

Very affordable, quick, convenient breakfastWhile waiting for the train for work we decided to grab a quick breakfast. I have to say, these folks work fast! The sandwiches here are freshly made with local ingredients. Which I was not expecting from a small cafe.

Insanely good for a station cafe. The smoothies are very very good too. Kind employees. Keep up the good work!

This is a very nice little eatery, better than an eatery that you might usually find in a train station. This is a nice place to have a fresh sandwich with quality bread and a good cup of coffee, whether you are on your way into Providence or waiting to take a train out.

Great food. Great staff. Good coffee. A gem of a café in the station.

Pleasant little station restaurant with good food and good service. Not too pricey either!
