this place is really amazing. extremely fast service, kind and friendly faces, some of the best coffee i’ve had in providence anywhere. plus, they actively advocate for others and stand on the right side of history. i’d recommend stopping here even if you don’t have a train to catch!
The older short haired, box dyed blonde woman with the Drew Carrey glasses working the counter is extremely racist. If you’re of a darker complexion, be mindful.
My go-to spot every time I’m pass through providence station! Gotta get “The Roma (Grilled cheese)”
I’ve been coming here for at least 30 years. It’s the same person managing it as it was back then. Great food and they know what they’re doing. It’s at a train station but it’s great sandwich stop if you’re in the area and need something quick.
Very good service, fast and the grilled cheese was very good
Absolutely recommend, great food and great coffee!
My husband and I purposely go to the train station early to get this. The staff is so friendly and the food is very good. Love the creative menu and the seasonal specials

way too crowded with a huge table in front of the register so you have to lean over and reach to pay - i ordered a red eye and got an iced coffee and when i said i wanted it hot, i was told “that’s your red eye” - so i threw it out and got another coffee - this time i said it needs to be hot. and the coffee is burnt. i’ve heard this is a great place, but i think i heard wrong.

The staff was extremely rude because their machine was broken and blamed me. This person specifically sucks.

If you told me that this place was a great place to go have breakfast and have coffee in the morning I would tell you inside the train station but believe it or not places amazing The coffee is on point the food is great The hustle and bustle of the train station adds to the atmosphere of this small restaurant

As someone who rides the train daily I appreciate having a place inside the station to get good food at reasonable prices.
What makes this place different though is the people and atmosphere they promote. Thank you it doesn’t go unnoticed!

I have been to Cafe La France thrice. Always had good experience. Place has a positive vibe. Staff looks happy and are very friendly. I have had sandwiches and tried their tomato basil soup. Everything seems fresh. Taste is good and service is quick. Prices are reasonable!!!!!
