A nautical-themed bar on Ives St, Captain's Seaweeds is a fun little bar. It has some elements of a dive bar, but I wouldn't really call it that. While they do have a pool table and fairly cheap beer, imbibers are generally from around the neighborhood, not really the typical dive bar crowd. I mean, there was a group playing with Beyblades when we came. They don't serve food, but there are a couple good options nearby and they'll let you bring in takeout. They do have an outdoor area when the weather's nice, but during the winter the bar tends to get pretty crowded. Lots of nautical themed decorations, which help give it a unique character. All in all, a good option if you're coming for a few drinks and then heading home, but it's a little out of the way if you're trying to bar hop or don't live in the area.

My new favorite bar in Providence. Not sure how I’ve missed it for so long, but it’s the perfect casual drink spot.

To call CSP a classic dive bar is not quite accurate. It is a fun, neighborhood bar. The outdoor spaces are so creative and fantasy based, you cannot help but enjoy your drinks.

Expecting undersea-Spongebob type beat—received only immaculate vibes.

Beauful outdoor seating on a private deck decorated with a pirate/ocean theme. It has a koi pond and small waterfall. Drinks are very reasonably priced. They don't serve any food but can bring in food from other restaurants. There is an indoor pool table. Street parking only.

I wasn’t sure what to expect but had a great time here. The main bar is pretty old school and small but there’s a huge outdoor patio where we spent time on a sunny afternoon. Tables in the sun or shade, lots of nautical decorations, even a little koi pond!No food options but they were happy for us to bring in takeout - and there are several good spots very close by. Overall a great experience and good prices too!
