I was excited to try this since it's from the famous "Cake Boss" show. I tried a slice of pepperoni pizza as well as a slice of the rainbow cake. The pizza was stale, dry, and the flavors were also horrible tasted like something that came from a gross school cafeteria. Was barely even edible. The cake was pretty to look at ...that's it ...it literally just tasted like sugar ..no flavor whatsoever I basically was forcing myself to eat it. Huge disappointment this food was garbage at best. Any cake I eat would be a million times better then that nasty cake I ate. And it says since 1910 that's very sad they they have been around so long and can't even have decent baked goods.... Don't waste your money.

We got a slice of chocolate fudge & a slice of confetti & they were delicious! I've been looking for a really good vanilla cake for a long time & this was just amazing! Very moist with the best frosting. I would give it 5 starts but it was over $17 for 2 slices. Way too expensive.

So, I tried the cookies. They were just ok. I had the black and white, peanut butter with reeses pieces, and snickerdoodle. I did not try any cakes. I only liked the PB cookie -- the rest were really generic and didn't wow me at all. Especially for the price! I think I'll pass on any followup visits.

Okay, so my son discovered this place after leaving the movie theater and brought me home 4 chocolate covered strawberries yesterday.. 12/28. Here I am, 12/28 at 10:58am and I am eating them.. after they were in the frig all night and they're soft so I ate the chocolate and chucked the rest.... I loved the show and I'll give them a second chance, but I am truly disappointed. (I ate as much as I could of the 4 so my son wouldn't be upset)

If I could rate this zero stars I would. Straight up cheaply made, gross, old-tasting desserts. I don't ever rate things, but this was that bad.

disgusting..... absolutley awful. a slice of cake is $9. way overpriced and definitely not worth the money.

This new Carlo's Bake Shop opened this weekend in the Providence Place Mall. Nestled in the food court between Johnny Rockets and Taco Bell you will find some friendly faces eager to assist you. All items are baked on site and although limited in variety, the items we tried (cake, cannoli, and cookie) were all tasty and delicious. I wanted to love this place, as I'm a big fan of the Cake Boss and even drove to Hoboken NJ once just to visit the original shop - which was AMAZING! I'm hoping to see more Cake Boss theming and displays as they settle in to this new location because it could use a little more personality. Be aware that Providence has a plastic bag ban and if you are getting a few items to take home, you will need to purchase one of their reusable bags for $2.95 or use one that you've brought from home.
