caspian breakfast and lunch

Caspian b&l is a small restaurant on the corner. Just what you would hope from a local b&l, Caspian has a small staff with big hearts and excellent service. The prices are totally reasonable and the food is excellent. My wife and I love good, crispy homefries and Caspian makes them well. Stop in for a quiet meal or take a breakfast sandwich to go. The coffee is standard fare, but they splash in flavors in perfect ratio to make your drink taste special. I'll be back again for sure.

Absolutely DELICIOUS spiced chai. Stopped in during the snowstorm for a quick breakfast date, and everyone on staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Busy, but not overly crowded. Not too noisy either. Really nice bistro area with plenty of seating and outlets for people who need to do some work. Very fast service for to-go orders as well. Will definitely be going back regularly 👍

Parking: It’s Wickenden Street, so parking can be hit or miss, however, there is usually plenty of parking on the westbound side of the street.

What a delightful find! Excellent food in a charming small Cafe. Homemade corned beef hash, fresh eggs, and excellent home fries. 10/10

Very, very well priced. You get a lot for your spend good movies and another great meal to add to my Rhode Island experience. Would definitely come back here again the staff are just so friendly.

fantastic for breakfast and totally delicious. Simple breakfast sandwiches to gyros and Greek salad… “the best kept secret.” ACCOMMODATING FOR DAIRY ALLERGY. I prefer to find hole in the wall places that are a little less busy. Note: the menu/ sinage may look a little outdated compared to the brunch spots that are wholly designed for instagram. Don’t let this deter you!

I can’t believe we haven’t been here before. Sorry no photos but we gobbled it all up! We’ll be back soon as the food was delicious, quickly served, fresh. I had balsamic chicken in a pita bread. Hub had a falafel wrap in pita too. We recommend the pita.
One idiosyncratic thing about me is I always have a titanium spork with me. You can ask for a metal fork, you have to use the plastic ware.

I want to preface this by saying that it was definitely very busy, and it’s a Sunday. That being said, there’s a difference between being busy and being blatantly rude and negligent to customers. We were told that we could sit fairly quickly based on how busy it was but we sat there waiting for a server to come over for 15-20 minutes. My bf and I both ordered lattes, water, and our food all at once. Waitress comes over with ONE of the lattes (my latte) about 10-15 minutes after that. She drops it off quickly without saying anything or giving us a chance to see about my bf’s drink. We wait another 20 minutes and she delivers coffees to the table next to us and she finally notices that my bf didn’t get his drink. The waitress asks him what he ordered again and he tells her. She then walks away and comes back and asks him to tell her again what he ordered. (It was just a plain latte with sugar btw). We wait another 10 minutes for the latte, and when she drops it off, my bf asks about the waters which she says she’ll grab for us. We never ended up getting those waters lol but I could’ve lived without that.

The food also took a very long time which is understandable because they have to cook it and it’s busy. But the omelettes we ordered were dry and tasted weird. I couldn’t even eat mine. Home fries were like soft potatoes with very minimal seasoning and were very cold. Ordered an English muffin and asked for jelly with it. Did not get the jelly or even butter so I ate a plain, cold English muffin. Also the food was served on styrofoam plates with plastic silverware. The waitress did not check on us even once.

I wasn’t sure if we were supposed to go up to the counter and pay and at that point I just wanted to leave so I very nicely asked a barista who was up front if we pay up there or wait at the table and she gave me a dirty look and extremely rudely said “uhh, I don’t know” and I was just like “okay” and I laughed.
Food and service not worth the price and amount of time you’ll spend waiting. We would’ve spent less time (and enjoyed our food more) than waiting around at the breakfast spot across the street that had a 45 minute wait.
1 star because the coffee was actually pretty good but that’s it.

1.5 hr wait. Food mediocre

Had to wait extremely long to be seated or served. Multiple items forgotten from our order. We were never checked up on. Food was dry and mediocre at best. On top of everything it was over priced.

Mediocre food. Medicore service. All disposables used: paper plates, to go cups, plastic utensils, etc. Breakfast sandwich had very little toppings and a prepackaged croissant. In comparison to other offerings in the area that use high quality ingredients and make from scratch, this place is bottom of the barrel. Seems to be run by a nice family, so I couldn't give it the 2 stars it deserves.
