The dining room was almost empty, had a nice table great service but but by desert a table for four was seated right next to us ( in a still almost empty restaurant and kind of ruined the end of our experience. We took our desert to go. Just training in an empty restaurant give space. But really Janelle was great and food outstanding !
Our server Dana was amazing (and stunning). The food NEVER misses...always have leftovers. THE definitive restaurant on Federal Hill
Food was tremendous except no bread was offered to our table. Our table was ready within a few minutes of our reservation Waiter was extremely busy but could not handle the pressure of the room. He was rude to our questions about ordering wine and offered the quality of our selection - “ I don't know I've never end had it before” how about just saying I haven't had any complaints? Can we order some apps? - I will be right there and did a quick fly by. Staff kept filling our water glasses by staying in one spot and reaching over the table. But the waiter did get better and was a little more personable as dinner progressed.
Great food and good service. We arrived early and we were seated right away. That was such a perk. Especially during Columbus Day weekend and the fair going on outside.
amazing authentic Italian cooking! Our server was phenomenal-Providence college parents weekend and the place was so jammin. very loud, but I'm sure it's a little more mellow on the average night.
Music was a little too loud, especially since the restaurant was almost empty. Calamari app was excellent, just not very hot temperature wise. Flavors of the “Casarino” were very good, but the chicken was very dry. It could have been that we were there at 5:00 (headed to show at PPAC) or that it was a Tuesday which in the restaurant business is typically one of the nights that primary chefs have night the night off. I would definitely go back and I would order something different.
The food was delicious! We started with the bruschetta - 4 ginormous pieces (had to take home 2 pieces). I had the chicken Cassarino and ate only a quarter of it as it was maassive. Hubby had the veal Frances & that was a large portion. He couldn't finish it either. We ended up with 2 full dinners for 2 on Sunday & Monday. There was a delay with our main course as the kitchen was backed up. But the food was good would recommend
Once a year Birthday Dinner was a wonderful. Food was delicious, service was excellent, pace was great. Just a great experience.
Great variety of very good food in a fun atmosphere. Caesar salad, fried calamari, frutti di mare, pink vodka pesto (hold the sausage), chicken Cassarino, and a big, juicy burger were more than enough for four very hungry people. Service was terrific, especially by the bussers who kept our water glasses full and really wanting to take our not-quite-empty plates. The free valet would've been good to know about before we spent a lot of money on parking -- not sure why Cassarino's doesn't make a big deal about this!
Consistently good friends. Brought friends that have never been there and they loved it. Portions are sizable. Staff is very professional and friendly.

Our waiter lied to us and said the extra glass of wine was compliments of him, when it was paid for by our providence College student parent that was sitting across from us in the restaurant. We found out the next day- at the game- and they had paid for a drink for us. Your waiter should have told us the truth.
One of my favorite places to go on the hill !! Steak was amazing and our server Drew was great ! He didn't rush us ! The best calamari with balsamic is the best anywhere !!
One of my top 10 meals. That's saying a lot! Bread and oil/cheese was great. I kept reordering more and more bread and oil and the server(Nicholas) was so nice! Chicken Francese was great, although I'm not a big caper fan. It was basically chicken piccata with delicious coating. One order serves two. The star of the day was Fruitti de Mare. Again, serves at least two. Big scallops, big mussels, shrimp, salmon. Red sauce is superb. I like that there's oil in it and not that dark red sauce. I'm picky. I will drive back just for this meal. I'm closer to the North end in Boston but prefer the ease of Federal Hill. Phantom Gourmet uses the term “a dish worth driving to.” Yup. Top 10.
Always a good meal and service at Cassarinos. No complaints

I absolutely love this place! It holds a special meaning for me because I took my wife here for our first date and the first time we met. The food is always excellent—better than any Italian restaurant in the North End of Boston. Federal Hill is the place to be!
