Must try - they source their tea directly from Taiwan and its really high quality. Atmosphere is great. Owners are incredibly nice.
I want to love this place so bad. I order brown sugar bubble tea. I dont know not as I expected. The bobba not like regular bubble tea tapioca bobba. But their staffs super friendly and nice, the place also have very nice ambience and decoration. Small but very comfortable place. Next time I come to PVD again will try their snacks, if their snacks good, I will update my review to 5 stars.
The plum-flavored chicken and sweet potato is a flavor explosion!
I was excited to visit Charuma because from the Google reviews and the pictures, it looks like a great quality boba shop. I like that the menu is limited but unique, and that they have lactose-free milk options! On the flip side, I was disappointed with the actual tea that we got. I got the Jasmine Milk Tea (75% sugar) with almond milk, and the XL Jasmine Green tea (no milk, 25% sugar). Both of the drinks, regardless of the sugar or milk, had a faint flavor and even felt watery at times. The only redeeming quality were the house-made bubbles, which were absolutely delicious (soft and sweet). I’m not sure if it was a one-time thing but hence, the 3 star review.
The tea is unsweetened. Pretty good.
We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the tea and food. We got the fried chicken cutlet and sweet potato fries w the chili and plum seasoning and it was to die for. 10/10 for quality, taste and price
Their milk and fruit teas are alright, certainly on the milder side. Refreshing on a summer day, but nothing makes them stand out from the vast number of tea options in the area.
Oh my god, best bubble in rhode island. Must try! Don’t miss it.
Shout out to the female staff that was working at the front alone- doing both cashier and making drinks duties. She handled it super well despite numerous customers waiting. Drinks were great but the boba was too chewy/soft for me, popcorn chicken was delicious but the portion was small for the price. This place needs to hire more staff.
I got the jasmine green tea with mango and boba. It was really flavorful and a great drink to have on a day walk. I didn’t get food but a lot of folks were digging the chicken so definitely check that out too!

Popcorn chicken with chili seasoning 🤤
Fried chicken cutlet is peak, made to order and well worth the wait, the staff is also very friendly.
Good choice for snacks!
Infinite wait and low efficiency. Please avoid!
I was there a week or so ago. I was quite disappointed to spend almost $8-9 on a cup of tea that was microwaved. The water for the tea was microwaved in what looked like a plastic measuring cup. After they poured the hot tea to a cup they almost sealed the paper cup with the plastic sealer thats used for cold/iced bubble tea. No idea how you expect people to drink hot tea with a bubble tea straw. Not to mention, I don’t think those plastic straws are supposed to be used with hot drinks. I had to stop them and ask them not to seal it with the plastic. The oolong tea was meh at best.
