I found Chilangos by serendipity: we were looking for a Mexican restaurant that was open on Tuesday and we liked the menu on the website because the food was true Mexican food, not the usual Americanized Mexican. So we took a chance. And we were not at all disappointed!
First, we were greeted warmly, in a genuine way, by the owner. They seemed genuinely glad to have us. The older gentleman was friendly and playful towards my son.
The food was delicious! I had enchiladas with housemate mole. The mole was fantastic: complex and nuanced. My daughter had enchiladas verde, which was smothered in a poblano salsa that was also complex, with great green heat. My son ordered the arracherra, a peppercorn rubbed steak served with homemade guacamole and a delicious cactus salad. I was tempted by several other dishes, particularly the enchiladas mineras (beef cheeks - yum!).
I didn't have a cocktail, but my daughter had the mango margarita and declared it delicious- and she knows her margaritas.
All in all, a warm, welcoming, delicious experience that made me want come back. And I will.

I had an incredible first-time experience at Chilangos this evening! From drinks to dessert, everything exceeded my expectations. The appetizers and meals were outstanding—especially the chips and salsa, queso, and burrito. The staff was so friendly and attentive, checking in often and clearing plates promptly. We ended the evening with the most amazing flan and churros (the best I’ve ever had). To top it off, they noticed it was my birthday and surprised me with flan, a candle, and a song. The food is phenomenal, but it’s truly the people here who make it unforgettable. This was my first visit, but definitely not my last!

First time coming here and the food was really good. The service though was awful, server took a while to take our order and didn’t really talk to us. He wouldn’t clear the table and didn’t check in on us once while we were eating. He came by at the end just to basically call us fat? Lmfao never again

Cocktails were amazing. I was disappointed because they were out of mole that day but I ordered the Enchiladas Verdes and it was phenomenal. Can’t wait to come back here.

I think it’s cute. This is my friends’ FAVORITE place to go. I really liked the soup I had. Would definitely come back for that. It is street parking only here I think.
My boyfriend thought some things were a bit too bland himself but I thought everything was fine.

An Unforgettable Mexican Experience - A True Culinary Treasure
Dining at Chilangos Restaurant was not just a meal -- it was an experience that touched the heart and awakened every sense. From the moment I walked in, I felt the warmth, the colors, the music, and above all, the genuine hospitality that makes you feel like part of the family.
I started with the queso fundido with onions and rajas, and let me tell you -- it was the best cheese dish I have ever had in my life. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced -- each bite was a burst of comfort and tradition.
For my main dish, I had the enchiladas potosinas, and they were simply divine. Authentic, vibrant, and cooked with a level of care that you can truly taste. These aren't just enchiladas -- they're a journey to San Luis Potosí on a plate.
And let's talk about dessert -- the flan was pure perfection. Smooth, silky, and rich in flavor. Our server Aidan recommended it, along with the margaritas, and both were absolutely spot-on! Aidan's attentiveness, kindness, and knowledge of the menu made our evening even more special. His service was exceptional.
Every moment at Chilangos was filled with joy. The food, the drinks, the service -- everything exceeded expectations. This place doesn't just serve meals... it serves memories.
Thank you, Chilangos, for sharing your culture, your flavors, and your heart. I'll be back soon -- and I'll be bringing friends.
Some of the best cochinita pibil I’ve ever had

This place doesn't get the attention it deserves. Has been a favorite of mine for years and is still just as great as the first time I went. The al pastor burrito never fails to make me do my happy-food-dance.

A real Mexico City restaurant. Not a taqueria, though they do have tacos. Owned and run by a chef, not a cook!

Top 3 restaurants in pvd. They are the best!
Stars mostly for service but never had arrachera this dry or flavorless. Nopales also didn’t taste like anything. No heat at all on the salsa so felt more Rhode Island palatte to me. Sad bc the chilangos name excited me having lived in Mexico City for a period
