First visit to Chomp, RI while visiting its newest chef and son in law, Max. Wow this place was hopping. Excellent atmosphere with hysterical signage. I like the window to the kitchen so you can see the chefs and it affords easy access to the plates for the wait staff. McKenna was our waitress and she was Great - attentive and helpful on suggestions. The food was Excellent! All their items are made in house - sauces, dressings, toppings, Burgers, Corned Beef etc!We started with the salt and vinegar Sprouts - oh the flavor and the bacon fat mmm, mmm!!! Then we had the Classic Smash Burger with a GF bun for our GF daughter! Outstanding! Then the wife had the Mediterranean Burger - really tasty! And I had the Truffle Shuffle Burger with Truffle fries- oh Yum! Flavorful and nice and hot off the griddle! Thank you for a great experience and a wonderful meal - We shall be back on our next visit to Providence!!!

Nice place if you enjoy burgers/sandwiches, but service can be slow and the seating is awkward. We had a larger party of 6 and got placed in a cramped side room. We also had to repeatedly ask for utensils. I liked my honey BBQ chicken sandwich, but my friends said that the truffle fries were not good. The side of fries with the burger are also not great. Overall, food is fine, and although I don’t particularly enjoy burgers/sandwiches, this restaurant does a good job with them even if the other food it serves is mediocre.

Really great experience! Incredible food and drinks, so good we went back again the next day! Brussel sprouts and a chicken sandwich are a must! Only comment would be to have more than one person circulating to check on tables as service took awhile at times but they could’ve just been shorthanded that night and our server was still great. Loved it!

Updating my review of Chomp to disappointing. On my last visit, ordered the Truffle burger, a new menu item that sounded mouth-watering. What arrived was a salty patty with jazzed up mayo aka mushroom duplee (whatever that is and probably spelled wrong) topped with a few salty chips. I’m surprised my kidneys survived the meal! Definitely not worth the price, this one needs a redo. Think I’ll stick to my Harry’s Burger Bar.
Muy Yum!! Every now and then, gotta have that cheesy, lip-smacking, messy, perfectly juicy on just the right grilled bread burger, it was heavenly!! 😋😁

What happened to Chomp? We’ve been coming here for years and love it. A few weeks ago, I ordered take out and it was mediocre. I assumed it was just an off-night. No big deal. Tonight we order again, hostess gives a 30min estimate. We arrive 5 mins early, food is ready. It’s already lukewarm, chicken is extremely hard and dry, and there are like 15 French fries. What is this?

I love the variety and options at chomp! As a vegetarian, I love that each sandwich or burger can be replaced with an actual vegetarian patty (and not one of those mock-meat impossible burgers). I have been here a few times and chomp never disappoints!
Vegetarian options: Each sandwich/burger patty can be made vegetarian!
Burger patties are solid here. Gochujang sauce wasn't great, and they used too much on mine. Bun is good. Would've liked a bit more substance in the burger at this price point. Fries were cold/a bit soft as well as a bit too salty so wouldn't recommend them. Would go back to try a different burger and maybe just pony up for an extra patty. Wife liked the gluten free bun and kid liked the Mac and cheese (which I tasted and thought was decent). Kid meal was a bit pricey for what it was (Mac and cheese with fries at $11), but the Mac as a side is $8, so just speaks to that maybe not being the best value on the menu. High chairs were good, bathrooms were clean, service was fast and responsive.

Delicious burgers that are large and filling. Have the ability to exchange the meat for other meat alternatives, switch smash patty to Grilled/Fried Chicken for example. We had a large group and the food/drinks were rapidly delivered and always tasty. Solid choice for a burger or sando.

Delicious food, amazing drinks and even better service. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. My fiancé had made a complete misunderstanding when ordering his meal, not thinking how he wouldn’t like what was in the sauce. When our server noticed he wasn’t eating she immediately asked if they could do anything and when mentioning he was not a fan of the sauce, no questions were asked—they ordered him a new meal free of charge and still allowed us to take the food he did not eat. The owner even came to personally apologize which wasn’t necessary from their end since we had made a mistake, but completely appreciated nonetheless!! You can’t find this kind of service much anymore, and we felt very welcomed and taken care of. The location was also very cozy and parking wasn’t a problem. I’ll definitely be coming back!
