First, this place is conveniently located on a strip with many options for food but also window shopping and India point park for a good walk before or after stopping here for a drink and/or snack. I'm not a huge coffee fan but I mostly came for their alternative options such as teas. I ended up getting the small iced chai (16 oz I think) for about $5 and it was delicious. It definitely had the signature chai taste but it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet which was good. I added some cinammon on top. I think they were also good with not adding too much ice. It took a few minutes to get our order but you can tell they were busy with previous orders because of the heavy traffic they get (which is a good thing, people must like their drinks). I also like how you can watch them make your drinks since it's an open "kitchen" environment. The inside is really nice, with plenty of seating and some window seats. They also offer fresh coffee beans to purchase by the pound, from a variety of difference countries and roasts. Parking is a bit tough since it can be a busy street but there are some side streets for more options.

Coffee Exchange is my favorite coffee shop in Providence (maybe the world) and it's the one I compare all other coffee shops to. Simply perfect with the best mocha you'll ever have. You can taste the richness of the melted down chocolate that goes into it which perfectly combines with the flavors of freshly ground/roasted espresso. It's strong coffee too so you may not even need a large! The interior is great with two floors of coziness, plenty of tables, and great aux at the right volume. It's always nice to browse the huge selection of fair-trade beans while waiting for a drink. They also have all sorts of coffee making hardware for sale too, if you want to try to reach their level. Service is always kind and feels like it has a relatively personal touch, despite it being an absolute factory in there. I once asked for a hot mocha and got an iced, pointed it out, and walked out with both (please don't abuse this as a hack - they were so nice and courteous about it). When I think about a perfect weekend morning, it pretty much always involves a trip to Coffee Exchange. I recommend the one-two combo with Amy's across the street.

Enjoyable neighborhood coffee shop with a vintage feel! In a seemingly historic Victorian building, this coffee roaster is bringing organic, fair trade, and sustainably sourced coffee to Providence. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The ambiance is comfy, cozy - exactly what you'd want from a coffee shop. There is a parking lot behind the building that provides off street parking, and there is limited seating indoors because so many people love to come here and sit and stay. So be ready to take it to go!

This is by far the best coffee around the providence area. Beans are roasted daily. You can taste the freshness. All their coffee is full of flavor . The staff are very nice and I always feel welcome even when they are slam packed busy. The only thing they could improve on is the flow of traffic when waiting for your order. It can get very cramped and claustrophobic when they are really busy. A small price to pay for the best coffee you’ll ever have.

Coffee exchange is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Rhode Island, potentially ever. I'm always a sucker for a good mocha, and I'm sensitive to caffeine so decaf espresso is usually a must for me! A lot of other decaf espresso drinks that I've tried end up compromising on the flavor, but not coffee exchange. It is delicious, consistent, fast, and so aromatic every time. The staff are always friendly, and there are two levels to the coffee shop filled with small tables that lend itself to the perfect place to meet up with a friend, read a book, or study. It is truly a gem of Providence, and I always miss it whenever I'm out of town!

Coolest Cold Brew Brewing Aparatus in History. It's a must-see! Look at the pictures. That is a Cold Brew Coffee Brewing System, which drips 1 drop every second. Making for a Very Concentrated Cold Brew Coffee. Go try it. Prices are a little high for a Small Large Size but worth a cool atmosphere. There are so many Fresh Roasted Beans in compartments and a Big Ol Red Coffee Bean Roaster right in the store. Go check it out. The only drawback is that workers think you're crazy when you get excited about all this. Haha, and prices are a little high for a small large....only 24 oz large. But it's a super cool find. Go check it out !! The smell of fresh roasted beans is amazing and strong. Good luck, the Coffee Exchange.

Coffee was amazing! I got the cold brew and it was super sharp with a great flavor. The service was helpful and fast even though the shop was super busy. I saw some getting freshly ground espresso beans here too. Very cool vibe to this coffee shop. Would definitely go back!
