Wish I had better things to say, but the service was horrible. Our server rolled her eyes at us, kept staring at us, and making snide remarks after serving us to the other servers. After maybe 20 minutes she stopped coming to serve us all together. As someone who works in the service industry I can understand frustration, however it is extremely unprofessional to roll your eyes in front of paying customers. We ended up tipping close to 100% of our check only for the server taking the payment to meet us with disbelief, and not in grateful shock, almost in a “are you sure you can afford this?” sort of sense. Coming from a family that owns restaurants and loves to give back within the industry, this was such a sorry experience.

Now, i really hate to write this and I swear I am NOT a reviewer in any means but I do feel as though my experience needs to be brought to some sort of attention so nobody has to experience this again. I’ve come to Den Den maybe 3 times now even my birthday dinner, so I was beyond excited to bring my mom and sister…unfortunately my experience was nothing I never want to put them through again. We walked in were sat like normal but when we began to order things went south…I understand as a server it can be frustrating and difficult to approach a table ask if they are ready and be met with uncertain orders, then again as a server i understand that patience and helping others understand our menu is one of the most crucial parts of our jobs. This was embarrassing and distasteful. It was clear our uncertainty and unfamiliarity with the menu frustrated our server and we were met with cold stares and quick un attentive service. Half way through our meal we ended up noticing that she was no longer our server? but instead a new girl..for whatever reason i wont assume. At the end of our meal our original server never came back literally ever..shocker! Additionally as restaurant owners we enjoy giving back to servers even if the experience wasn’t quite as enjoyable, we understand these servers work hard and we understand other situations can greatly influence how you act but this is your job and we are paying customers all we ask for is to be met with respect. To better state what I am trying to say…we asked if the servers share tips or if they go to one individual server, we were informed tips were shared (but not necessary)…great! When we went to tip slightly generously we were met with confusion and shock but not in a grateful sense in much more of a “are you sure you can do this” way. We were shocked and honestly saddened by our entire experience. The food was great though chefs keep up the good work!!

I'm Korean and have eaten a lot of chicken. But the chicken here tasted just like the one I had in Korea, and the interior was also very Korean. And best of all, the staff were incredibly friendly, especially the black hair female staff. If you're visiting Brown University, this is a must-visit!

My friend got chicken here to eat while we watched squid games and it was really good, my other friends didn't really like the cheese one that much but I thought it was pretty good, the only thing Is that the cheese did feel a little unreal. I don't know what she spent but according to others that came here this place is pretty expensive

Went on a Sunday night, no wait, ordered chicken katsu curry and the den den spicy rice cakes. I enjoyed the katsu curry a lot, it was delicious, beautifully presented, and a good balance of the chicken, curry, rice and salad. Since it wasn’t too crowded, the wait staff came up to us 3 or 4 times throughout the meal. It seemed a little overstaffed. Also, this restaurant doesn’t take tips, which may be part of the reason it’s a little expensive. Regardless, I’d highly recommend checking it out.

Delicious food!
In town for work and stumbled upon this spot with about 45 minutes for lunch. I’m so glad I decided to give it a try, the service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. My only regret is not having more time to explore more of the menu. Guess I’ll just have to come back next time!

Usually have a great experience here, but I went with my friends (all CLEARLY under 21) and one of my friends ordered soju (an alcoholic beverage) not knowing what it was. She was not asked for her ID, nor was she informed it was alcoholic, and I had to tell her to cancel the order. Unbelievable.

Cali was absolutely amazing, genuinely cared and served us with love! He is an asset to the company!
My wife & I stopped by Den Den on a recent visit to Thayer St. The food was great! We the kimchi pancake, Den Den Korean BBQ with pork belly, and the fried chicken. We enjoyed it all.
Atmosphere was casual and the restaurant was full of college student aged patrons — we were the oldest ones there by 10+ years. Loved that gratuity is includes included in menu pricing.
We will certainly visit again!
Delicious food, attentive and friendly staff. While visiting Providence we ate here two nights in a row. Try the cheesy chicken! (Though we also enjoyed fried chicken, kimchi pancake and shrimp 김밤)
