Great place!! Everyone from the hostess to bartender to wait staff - fantastic! It was a busy night, so some of the order details were missed but otherwise we were all happy. Drinks and food were amazing and so tasty!
Whole place is an alternative vibe. Comfortable, inclusive and fantastic music!

Another day, another chance for more tacos with the RI Food Fight's TacoMania. This time we started with Diego's. As it was a Saturday, no tables were available from reservations but we were able to grab a seat at the bar.
The space is open, dark. A blend of Mexican homage and industrial brick. An open kitchen gives you the chance to watch your meal be prepared in full view.
Our bartender, Greer was super friendly and balanced attentiveness. She is detail oriented and was very accommodating. She quickly took care of our drinks and got our food order in ASAP.
They offered a limited menu for TacoMania and I chose the carne option. It came out in a crunchy blue corn tortilla. After a squeeze of lime, I dug in. The crunch was everything you wanted it to be and more. The beef with queso fundido made this a slight messy but overall delicious taco.
We got the cornbread souffle to share and it was outstanding. The souffle itself was savory and very corn forward, as opposed to the sweeter cornbread you see in the south. They add a touch of something sweet to balance it out.
My friend had the shrimp chimichirri tacos and they said they were a 10/10.
So glad to find another tasty spot in the TacoMania trail!

This is a great spot! Friday's offer buck a shuck with the Ramones playing in the background and $4 narragansetts!!! The inside is beautiful, you have to check it out. Also the fish tacos are the best I have had on either coast.

I was at the Little City Vintage show today. Diego's had a booth. I am from Texas and that was the best Chicken Tinga Taco I have had on the East coast! I will definitely be visiting the restaurant!

Cocktails, atmosphere and Service were incredible! The food was SUPER salty or tasteless.. portions were confusingly small in regards to sides and rice was hard… the food makes chipotle feel like 5star Michelin… go for drinks , have a great time. Eat elsewhere

Gorgeous restaurant with delicious food and excellent wait staff. My 6 yr old daughter and I went to Diego's and were waited on by Kiana, forgive me if I spelled that wrong, who treated like us like royalty. The food came out in a timely manor and was phenomenal. We started with excellent salsa and warm chips, then I had the tuna tacos, and my daughter the chicken tenders, of course 🤣. The restaurant was very clean, and tastefully decorated for the holidays. Highly recommend for a father daughter date or any other date for that matter.

Cocktails are good. Food is super okay. My wife isn’t a huge fan of onions and today during brunch she kinda got brushed off when they messed up her order. Cute place with good vibes if you’re going to grab a cocktail

I enjoyed the chill and quiet atmosphere when I went here for lunch. I quite enjoyed the playlist that was playing at the time (80's alt). As for the food...it was mid but for the people in the area the food will knock your socks off. Maybe I'll come back for the cocktails ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So glad Diego’s exists (here are in Newport) and that they keep improving! As a Celiac, having food that isn’t cross-contaminated is important. Being able to have yummy Mexican food that is safe rocks my world. I feel they take feedback seriously in both locations so as to take seriously food allergies. We don’t choose to have allergies and we still want to eat fabulous food. Thank you so much, Diego’s!
Dietary restrictions: They label their menu and their take out options have an allergy check mark system.
