Great food
Mid in most ways. Not a fan of counter service and then hovering over tables trying to get a seat. Not really their fault but my experience started with some jerk entering through the exit and walking up to the cashier and ordering while I waited in line. The cashier could have corrected him, but I get being nonconfrontational in that position. Next I asked what the cashier recommended between two choices and he said the beef sandwich. The beef was bland, like boiled meat, and the bread was over toasted to a lip cutting crispiness. The sandwich was 98% bread, 1% beef and the last 1% might have been cheese but it was tasteless. The fries were good. My son liked his sandwich. Oh, and no bloody Mary so I had a coffee and bourbon drink for $14 that was also mid. 2.5 would be the rating, going three because my son liked his food.
Amazing place for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner with wide range of coffees. Beautiful atmosphere and great vibes.

Good quality food and brews. The service is okay. A nice atmosphere for a cup to go or to sit with a small group for a quick bite to eat.

Posting later than I would have liked. We were lucky to eat here in July, we had to queue given the popularity of the place. Service was quick and the food was great.

Great coffee, decent food absolutely horrible service
Loved it. Had signature breakfast sandwich and plain ole drip coffee. That coffee was really good (not crappy cheapo stuff). Yumm

Great experience at Ellie’s a nice cozy cafe in the downtown Providence area. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our visit. The coffee was good and had a tasty breakfast sandwich and delicious pastry. The rest of the menu and pastries also looked great. The cafe was clean, bright, well decorated, and had plenty of seating. Would definitely recommend to a friend or return in my next trip to Providence.

We went to Ellie’s for brunch on a Saturday. Apparently it was a mistake. The line was long. We ordered hot tea, coffee and breakfast items. We got the teas and coffees right away and kept waiting. We waited at least half an hour so the hot drinks were already cold. 4-6 dollars each we didn’t bother to get in line again. Musakka was too watery and lacked substance. After the oily croque monsieur with too much bechamel sauce, I had stomach discomfort the whole day. Will not return.

Bright and airy cafe that serves fresh food. The harvest bowl with grilled chicken was perfectly balanced with tons of flavor. It was perfect for lunch.

This place was a gem and easily the best place I dined during my visit to RI. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and fast. The windows for the whole place opened to the outside to let in the beautiful fall weather. Lastly the food was delish! We also shared a table with another couple and this led to lovely conversation!
