It truly pains me to have to give this a bad review, or maybe my taste buds aren't like a southern in the north. But I'm a northern that's lived in the south.
When I lived in the Worcester area, I had Addie's as my soul food stopped. When I relocated closer to the RI area, I needed another soul food spot, so I ran across this place that had high review. Apparently, the greens are too salty, and yams have cinnamon and not sweet enough or just not enough cinnamon couldn't really tell, but it just didn't pop. I believe the fish was definitely overcooked to like a fish jerky texture. The staff is very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is ok.

Amazing food! Amazing service! And reasonable prices. Mac&Cheese, sweet potatoes and collard greens were all excellent. The fried chicken and tenders were freshly cooked and juicy.

I used to go here all the time when I was a student in RI. Came back for a weekend visit and had to stop and get some good food! It did not disappoint!! I will be back soon for another plate! Thank you guys for being a home away from home while I was a student!
I ordered them on Grubhub and they sent a whole different order than what I asked for. I asked for ribs with the sauce on the side and this is what they said. I am not sure if the piece on Even chicken, the greens have a weird aftertaste and that cupcake looks like Doodoo. I don’t know if this is is the front or this is an actual restaurant but this ain’t it?

I ordered a large tender dinner with Mac and cheese and fried rice. I received collard greens instead of rice and collard juice kind of ruined the whole meal for me. The chicken didn't really have any seasoning. Ended up eating a couple of the tenders and gave the rest to my partner. Super disappointed and will not be ordering from here again. ?
