After getting opinions, and reading the reviews, I figured I would give it a try.BIG DISAPPOINTMENTThe music is too loud, and the young lady at the register was rude, didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Not much to choose from, and didn't have what was on the menu.
Good african food. Limited choices, but very consistent.
Nice food...Great Oriented Custormer service
We arrived just before closing and were given samples to help choose what to order. Great hospitality! Delicious food! Very good value!
Great food! Clean environment! Nice people!
Wonderful hospitality! Shared her love for her food and family even when we showed up just before 8. Delicious food!
First off, I kindly ask that my "West African" brother and sisters with restaurants please specify the origin of your cuisine on your website or in your name or somewhere on Google. It is misleading and deceptive to use a general phrase like "West African" when the majority of West African restaurants in America are Nigerian, and most people are expecting to eat that same type of food whenever they go to a "West African" restaurant. Second, because I was expecting Nigerian food, I was extremely unsatisfied with the "jollof rice" as it had no distinct taste or flavor; I was even more upset because I didn't get any red stew sauce to go on top of the rice. Lastly, to make matters worse, I ordered a side of spinach thinking it was going to be just that-- "spinach", only to find a million and one types of meat in it. My frustration is not even about the money; because I do not mind supporting my fellow Black people. I'm more upset that I had my mind set on eating a certain type of food and did not get it. I think the West African community needs to have a meeting and decide on "one" country that will use the term "jollof rice" because I would like consistency-- if my vote counts as an ADOS, I think Nigerians should be the only West Africans making jollof rice. Please and thank you.
Good food and nice staff, very clean inside.
I just wanted to share this post with everyone. Today my sister and I went to Gloria's West African restaurant for the first time in the service was impeccable and the owners were so welcoming. We even talked a little in exchange numbers. I had the pleasure to meet Michelle Davidson who is the owner of the restaurant and thanks my sister and I for our support. She's a life coach and all about empowerment and building black businesses. She is a Force to be reckoned with. We even exchange numbers to stay in contact.. I'm looking forward to getting to know her and support the cause for building our people and putting them on the best platform of a positive perception of who we are as people. The food is delicious by the way so come threw and support people who support other good people.
Hands Down...Providence Finest African Cuisine. 5 Stars. Bravo.

The food was delicious?and the staff were very friendly and inviting. Will absolutely return.
Great food. Great people. You really can't ask for anything else! You will not be disappointed. Such good flavors and selections. You'll feel like you're at home!
The food taste incredibly nasty ! The dry Rice was over cooked and hair more like (weave)...// I wear weave so I know it when I see it //in my rice tangled all through. Bad phone service ,charged me $10 extra from prices that were repeated over the phone ,which I didnt bother getting back because money comes and goes that was the least of my worries at that moment . All in all ,I'd stick to my own home cooked african food which is delicious. *very clean so was shocked to get bad service *
Food is amazing. Wonderful atmosphere. Reasonable prices and there’s parking!
The atmosphere provided a welcoming environment. The food was just as good as the impeccable service. Leaving a restaurant you know you shall return, is an amazing feeling! I highly recommend this clean, spacious restaurant that includes an unforgettably African experience.
