Cool vibe with a great selection of mixed drink that are Instagram worthy. Bar service was excellent. The menu being a cassette tape was a pretty cool twist as well.

This spot is literally a hidden gem in the City of Providence.

Me and my friend were just wandering around to find a place to sit down, after a long-day of walking and biking.

We found this place on the map while we were walking!

The bar is only about 20 minutes on foot from Brown University. According to the staff, the bar is full of Brown university and RISD(Rhode Island School of Design) faculty students hanging out.

The bar is relatively quiet and has moderate noise. Despite being small, the heating is great and the lighting is great.

The drink was also tasteful. Both of us ordered spirit-free drinks: the Morning Glory and another one I forgot😂.

I enjoy chatting with the staff, too. Super friendly and funny.

We popped in for a Saturday refreshment and loved this cozy spot. It’s an intimate space with stool seating at the bar and ample table seating. I loved the candlelit vibe and appreciate the creative touches like the cassette tape menus. The cocktail list is creative and thoughtful, we enjoyed everything we tried. My favorite drink was the pink Flamingo - a sophisticated take on one of my vacation faves - the Miami Vice (or lava flow of Waikiki is yer vacay spot). A bit interactive, dialed in and complex in delivery. We didn’t snack but the provisions sound amazing and I appreciated the soft music that allowed for conversation. Most importantly… we were greeted when we arrived and thanked when we parted. I always appreciate warm and welcoming service, paired with gratitude .

Bar is overrun with loud college kids, most of which are straight frat boys so coming here as a queer person can be very uncomfortable… I wish the atmosphere had more diversity.

Please address the foul treatment against woc compared to your white guests. Thank you

Unfortunately they are likely racist. Yes businesses have the right to remove people from their establishment but they shouldn’t be discriminatory in the process

From the street, Glou presents a charming and demure atmosphere. A white cedar shake hut, with a well lit patio, on a tree lined street. Imagine my surprise when, before even opening the door, club music was blasting so loud that the door handle vibrated in my hands. It’s dark, it’s cozy, it’s deafening. Had 2 amazing carafes of wine, but bar staff notable did not offer or present any water. The cookie was good. The music was much too loud for the crowd, evidenced by the fact that no one was dancing and everyone was shouting. Maybe it was an off night, or whoever had the aux was thrashing at the confines of their cage, but for a couple that wanted a cozy quiet night. We were pleasantly surprised by a sit-down club. 5/5, just give me water next time.

Shocked that you wouldn't replace my cold red wine when I told you I wasn't enjoying it...do people drink cold red wine? Sangria is one thing but I mean come on...is this a RI thing? Also, get some acoustic panels for goodness sake, maybe you would hear your guests are not not as happy as you think, pay attention bro
