We have been here a couple of times and both times had absolutely delicious and interesting food. The cocktails were also yummy. Friendly, happy place, a quirky decor, and a great chef. What more could you ask for?

Who knew that Korean and Cajun fusion would be so good, but here we are. I can't stop thinking about the Surf and Turf Po Boy... Get yourself to Hanju Kitchen yesterday.

Great Korean & Cajun fusion restaurant. We ordered the gumbo, kimchi mac & cheese, and the surf & turf rice bowl. I thought the gumbo was quite standout and the mac & cheese delicious (if a bit too sweet for my taste). The surf & turf bowl was also great and the portion size was quite generous. Overall the ambience is quite lovely and I also loved all the cat paintings on the walls!

This is one of my favorite spots in Providence. As a southerner it's very rare that you find flavorful food and items specific to southern cuisine made well. This spot has done it well with their Korean Creole fusion. I have tried so many items on the menu and have never gone wrong. The Gumbo, wings, ramen, po-boys, dumplings and rice bowls are all great go tos. The staff has also been amazing every time I have visited. Definitely give this spot a try. You won't be disappointed.

Was referred to this spot by a local. At first impressions it’s a beautiful spot. Interior design is interesting and fun. Not sure why but it’s cool. Seating was a bit uncomfortable to me. The staff were fairly nice. Bartender was great. The ordering setup is weird. If you aren’t aware of it you’re just gonna sit there for an hour. This should be rethought.Over all! The food was Bomb AF. Worth going. Worth returning. Get over the rest lol.

Hanju is a welcome discovery on my work travels - I ordered the tofu rice and veggie dumplings over the phone and was amused by the somewhat odd but whimsical entrance into a bar where I was directed to the food counter to pick up my order.

My order was carefully packed as I drove it back to my hotel. The dumplings were good. I would’ve preferred pan-fried (as they traditionally are) instead of deep fried. Deep frying seems a bit of a lazy approach.

The main dish is reminiscent of home-cooking so no complaints there! Flavorful tofu and vegetables.

Will be adding Hanju to my Providence rotation and hoping to have the spare time to dine in and patronize the bar in the near future.

Vegetarian options: Tofu rice entree is tasty!

Luckily a friend told us about what to expect here otherwise we would’ve been totally confused. There are two separate businesses located in one location called “The Royal Bobcat” with OUI over the entrance. If that isn’t confusing enough you’ll need to walk thru the bar area to find a couple of menus on a small counter or, you can use the QR code on each table to peruse the menu. Ring the bell on the counter and someone will appear to take your food order. If you want drinks you order from the bar. We had the gumbo which was a small bowl of a Southern grandma’s comfort food. Next, the gooey chicken wings coated in a Korean finger lickin’ glaze and the vege dumplings – crispy and delicious although I have had better at another Korean restaurant. Overall, the food was good and I really like the vibe of the place with stained glass and sparkly lights in an intimate setting. My only slightly negative comment would be the bartendress who is low on the scale of friendly and definitely not a smiler. Bartending isn’t difficult. Really it isn’t. I bartended in my youth in strip clubs to huge nightclubs (which is probably why I can’t hear well now). Your job is to be a purveyor of liquid happiness with a side of charm. Cracking a smile now and again will can turn this bar into a beacon of joy amidst a delightful menu of seoulful bayou Korean-Cajun fusion concoctions.

Parking: It's Federal Hill where parking is always a challenge.

The food was really good. We had gumbo that was savory, soft, and delicate. The shrimp poboy was well fried and on some nice spongy bread. The wings were pretty well cooked and had a nice sauce on them.
