Stopped by while walking around Providence in town just for the night. I was going to have tacos across the street but the wait was too long. I'm so glad that I stopped at high tides! The food was awesome the service was phenomenal and the prices were great! They were super friendly, brought out water for my dog, charged my phone, and the j*** chicken empanadas were outstanding! I'll definitely be back very soon!

Y'all... The j*** chicken is amazing! Not to mention they serve some tasty drinks and have really kind staff. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Don't let the crowd across the street fool you (at the taco place); you're in the right place for some great food!

Hide Tide Island Grille is a hidden gem. Each dish is more delicious than the next. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The beautiful decor makes for interesting conversation. 5 Stars!!

The food is okay (except for the nachos, which are stellar) with good drinks. A good location and priced for the area. Trivia night is fun but I keep waiting for the place to shutter.

It's tough to give an accurate rating as the restaurant is definitely a little slow over the winter and they have a much smaller menu. I had an empanada for an appetizer, it wasn't bad, just had way too much curry powder in it. I got the Rasta pasta which I was a little hesitant about because there were no other reviews and I always look to my fellow Yelpers for pics and reviews on dishes that I plan on getting. I took one bite, all I could taste was salt. I mean that's it. No other seasonings I literally felt like I just took a bite of straight salt. The waitress had come over immediately after the food was delivered to see how everything was and I told her. She took the dish immediately and went to get a manager who came over to address it apologize profusely and told me I could have anything else I want it on the menu on the house. So I got the high tide burger and everything was perfect. They definitely have some kinks to work out, but I'm going to give them four stars because their service was very kind, and professional. That goes along way from me especially since I've been to other establishments who when they make mistakes just don't care. I'm definitely going to give them a shot closer toward the summertime when the menu is a little bigger and the weather is nicer. I think it will be a cute spot to have a drink outside, and they allow dogs which is awesome. I also got the painkiller drink, it was really good and definitely packed a little bit of a punch that I noticed when I was about halfway through.

Service was great food was ok I had the Cuban sandwich which was ok fries were way too over seasoned I also had the empanadas for a App that were greasy and dark like they were fried in old oil and the beef inside was also over seasoned. I was turned off by how at 6:30 at night on a Saturday they were already out of several menu items

If you've been to the Caribbean, or any tropical place for that matter, you're gonna love High Tides. Reggae music, rum drinks and delicious food put your mind at ease and have you reminiscing about past trips to the islands. We had the nachos, shrimp tacos and j*** chicken sandwich and all 3 dishes were bursting with flavor. Kudos to High Tides for offering something truly different in Providence... we'll be back for sure!

I've been to High Tides Bat & Tiki a couple of times. First time i went to a restaurant across the street, but it was packed so my friend and i ended up trying High Tides. I had the fish tacos. They were delicious. I noticed the extensive drink menu and vowed to try some next time. A few weeks later i was invited to a birthday dinner there. We were a big group, taking up a few tables. My friend and i mussels for an app; i ordered a mai tai but i found it too sweet. I than ordered a caipirinha , which was great! For a meal i had the mahi mahi, it was so good! Nicely presented. The whole group liked their meals and drinks. The only weird thing about the place is the decor. The walls are painted bright colors and covered in paintings. The paintings remind me of old beach movies, 30s/40s maybe. They don't seem to go with the name or the music played (Jamaican music mostly). We spoke to the manager about this, who said the theme as french Polynesia. It just doesn't seem to flow, from the colors to paintings, music and food.

Recently had a lunch date here and it was really good! We both had the High Tides Burger and it was delicious. All of the staff were extremely hospitable and attentive. We will definitely be back to enjoy the outdoor seating when the warmer weather returns.

My friend gave me a coupon for the taco challenge. I went on Halloween. It also happened to be Trivia Night. Fun! Staff was inviting and fun. The fish taco was amazing, with the crunchiness of the light batter fried fulfilling all of my sensory needs. Additionally , I had black bean I will definitely revisit.soup, which was tasty. I'll return .

Service was good... Food was not at all. Our whole table of 6 didn't like their food, only sent back 2 dishes because we didn't want to be too much of a pain. But ugh not good. I got the shrimp tacos and they were just like shrimp with a spicy sauce and a tiny bit of some coleslaw thing. I love shrimp tacos and know that's not how they should be. Also made me feel gross after eating them.
