This place has the best fried chicken. A must try. Love the full service bakery as well. Sweet staff. Nice sitting area too

Amazing. I had an onion ring there last night and almost cried. Heavenly.

Well I must take into account that COVID has significantly impacted josiahs usual food choices ( as it is now the same as all brown dining) , i still feel that I have a duty as a yelper to help out the public and let them know what they are getting into / atleast give them a warning. So, josiahs is not great . It's very covid friendly in that you get bagged lunches to go and you don't touch any of it, however this makes it very not eco friendly as the only choice you are given is between a vegan meal a special and the usual entree of chicken and rice and The sides that come with it are always very large in quantity and there is typically a lot left over and a lot of plastic used which is probably necessary during covid but seems very wasteful. Also for breakfast there is never any variety, so that is pretty disappointing . It's always two hard boiled eggs and then oatmeal . So if you don't like eggs or oatmeal i am sorry. There is also a vegan choice however which is also oatmeal but you do get a fig bar. Besides for the wastefulness, the other downside is that the food just is not good. The flavor is very much lacking. Also, the chicken I got the other night was just very much undercooked. And for those of us who do not have a kitchen that is problematic . It is disappointing because I paid for a meal plan but am now trying to go to josiahs the least I can. The one good food I have had though was the snickerdoodle cookies you get with dinner sometimes! No complaints about that. Very generous portion as well.

As a Brown student, there is simply no way to go about avoiding the atrocity that is Jo's on a Friday or Saturday night. Whether you're looking for a delicious grilled cheese sandwich or loaded quesadilla because you can't make one yourself (hey, I'm not judging), a greasy burger or chicken sandwich (spicy with, if you will) accompanied by french fries, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks, or the best salad on campus (I've never once gotten one myself -- that's just what people say), Jo's is your place. They've got enough food to feed an army of ravenous college students, which is exactly what happens nearly every night starting at 6:00 PM up until the dark hours of two in the morning. Whatever you're craving, they've got it: cookies, ice cream, Rice Krispies treats, pretzels & hummus, juice, soda, chips, and more. The perfect place for off-meal-plan students to treat themselves (or get treated ;) to a deliciously unhealthy on-campus meal, Jo's will always hold a special place in every Brown student's heart. Looking for a more balanced meal that isn't the underwhelming buffets at the Ratty or the V-Dub? Off to Andrews or the Ivy Room for you, young trooper.

Welcoming to the loving arms of the father you never had when you stumble in crossfaded at one in the morning. Drown your confusion in mozzarella sticks and a spicy chicken sandwich. The calories don't count if you can't add!

Among the best places to eat food later in the evening at Brown. Its also beneficial if one is intoxicated or under the weather. Its a good place to eat the classic Brown favorite: The Spicy With (Spicy Chicken Sandwich w/ Cheese).
