I’ve been here many times. They have some great options, I particularly like the tofu benedict and the seitan cheese steak sandwich. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the tofu scramble, personally I think it’s under seasoned but there are many better options on the menu so that’s okay.

So refreshing to have vegan options for pretty much every dish instead of just one scramble or burrito like so many menus. I had a half vegan Benedict with home fries, a piece of vegan French toast with chocolate chips, a grapefruit mimosa and an almond milk latte. So filling and delicious. You can’t make reservations and have to wait outside when it’s busy, but I’m glad I did. Would definitely go back if I visit Providence again.

A recent Saturday brunch did not disappoint. Go early before the lines start on weekends -- and go hungry. Staff is all welcoming and attentive. Take your time browsing the huge menu! We ordered an omelet and a hash and eggs dish, with another specialty hash on the side to taste. Be sure to ask for the housemade ketchup! Prices were very fair for the quality and quantity of food. Fun and creative cocktail menu. Now about the place itself -- it's worth a visit just for exploring the decor, the wall art and memorabilia. Our tabletop was made from antique printing plates found in the neighborhood. And don't forget to go to the bathroom! Yes, my photo is one of the amazing figurine displays In. The. Bathroom. This particular street has so many restaurants to choose from, and if you can only choose one I'd recommend Julian's.

I’m wary to share this opinion knowing how beloved Julian’s is! I think this was a case of something being so hyped up and my expectations were perhaps too high. Overall, it was a fine experience. I’d never made it before due to the long lines, but finally made it on a weekday. Our group agreed the food was fine, but not great. The atmosphere was fun and funky, but didn’t totally land with us. I’d definitely be willing to give it another go, knowing how much folks enjoy it here.

The wimpy burger was thick and juicy, the chowder was exploding with flavour, the house-made banana chocolate chip ice cream was perfect, and the raspberry sauce on the ganache tart was so tangy! We loved all the food we had here.

With a quirky gen X atmosphere, Julian's has a solid brunch and lunch menu. The three of us in my party all ordered different things and there was not one disappointment on any of our plates. Our waitress was nice and made good recommendations about portion sizes.
Vegan breakfast items were phenomenal! Vegan hash was so flavorful - even leftover it was still amazing. Vegan French toast with chocolate chips and bananas was also wonderful. Great start to celebrating the big 35 in New England 💜
