If I could, I would give this place a 3.5. The floor was sticky. The bathroom was kind of dirty, and the service was pretty slow for my liking. The honey garlic. Wings were amazingly delicious, but the collard greens with smoked turkey was too salty and not that good. I really wanted to have candy yams, but they ran out and didn’t tell us until right when our food was about to be served. It was supposed to be soul food, but my soul didn’t feel it. I would go back for the wings, but you can miss me with everything else.Parking: It was hard to find parking that night but luckily we eventually found something.Kid-friendliness: Definitely not kid friendly. I mean you could bring your child there but there’s no kids menu

Good vibes. Great food. Black woman owned. The shrimp and grits is to die for.

Food is delicious and is definitely the closest to southern comfort food I will ever get.

It was my second time going there and I was excited. I ordered their catfish with mac n cheese and collard greens. when I say it was the worse mac n cheese i’ve ever had, and I was really shocked it tasted the way it did. my expectations were high and there was no way they could mess it up. it wasn’t cheesy at all, just oily and vinegary. I did take the mac n cheese home and sadly I didnt have cheese at that moment, so i threw it away… Catfish was OK, except the batter had NO flavor to it. We had their garlic parm wings and it was the best i’ve ever had. I ended up ordering take out for their wings another day. The server was super sweet, but man I will never order their mac n cheese or catfish. their chicken wings are the safest bet, but I am still willing to try more items, if the quality is any better. Also the owner is super sweet. There’s really no parking, your best bet is paying at the parking garage upstairs.

The food and service has always been amazing, if somewhat SLOOOWWW. The seating in the front room is crazy uncomfortable. Not sure why they bought the most uncomfortable seating possible. No backs to the metal stools. Hope you don't like food AND comfort!

I got the Mac and cheese and it was awful, it was literally just pasta and some clumps of cheese and A LOT of oil. I took one bite and was so upset I even spent money here.

First time going yesterday. Fish was great and so were the sides. Only suggestion I have is to make sure you greet the guest and never assume they have been taken care of. Also, I didn't see any signs on how to obtain a menu if you're ordering for take out. I could be wrong on that though.

We were seated and it literally took them almost 2 hours to get everyone food out. When the food FINALLY came out it was literally cold to the touch. None of the food was served at once instead one person would get their food and 30 minutes later another person would. Crazy. Service Was okay and the menu was trash. The eggs were disgusting the chicken was gross and the cheesy grits were almost diabolical. ALSO please lower the music, it’s uncomfortably loud and nobody could hear each other. Great music choices but please…

Unfortunately I was unable to try the food or drinks at this place. I was very much looking forward to it based on the reviews. We had a 5:30 pm reservation on Saturday and arrived at 5:25. We were greeted and sat at 5:30. We sat for quite a while and no one came to our table, not even to greet us or bring water. We looked at the menu for quite sometime and then sat. We had a show at 7pm so we weren't in a hurry but also could not wait forever to get food and drinks. After not being greeted by anyone for 30 minutes, we walked out at 6pm. I don't even know that they left. During our wait we definitely made eye contact with some of the employees but no one ever came to serve us. I was disappointed as I really wanted to support a local business and try their food.

Came for dinner, sat at the bar. Good food, good (and quick) service, good music. Nice staff. PVD has so much good food that maybe this place is a 4-star on a relative scale and you might want to prioritize other places if you're from out of town, but by all means this place is worth going to if you're a PVD local.

Went here for an early dinner before a show. Not crowded, but filled up quickly. Vibe is very laid-back. Feels like you're in a family-run restaurant. Southern comfort food. Service was leisurely, but responsive. Interior design is a little cold, and the music was too loud. Chicken was super crispy, but surprisingly lacking in spice. Sides were tremendous, especially the collards. Mac & cheese was also superb. Oh, and don't forget the "dranks." Sweet and boozy.

The wings were soo good! We got the honey garlic wings and they did not disappoint! The service was also very friendly and we really liked the decor and music. Will definitely be back when we’re next in providence!

I really wish I could write a good review- my initial impression of the food and drinks was quite positive. However, I took a bite into my chicken sandwich instead of biting into something delicious, I bit into a two inch metal screw! While I do not want to write a nasty review- because before that I really was enjoying the meal, our server was kind and the vibe was chill. Once I bit into a screw I was absolutely astounded by the lack of health and safety protocols being followed. A screw? In the middle of my food? It was actually unbelievable. The way it was handled was also inappropriate - and I ended up still having to pay more than 3/4 of the bill, with only my meal being comped? While I understand mistakes happen, this was a pretty big, risky mistake to be made and was not handled in the best way. That being said, I will not be returning, and would warn anyone who wants to go that although the food may be good, it is not worth the health and safety risks and the lack of concern demonstrated by the owner and chef.
