Despite being in delapadated Olneyville decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt. First 2 times chicken burrito was fire despite the rude old miserable lady cashier and unfriendly staff. I am in fact from South America. 3rd visit the wrap fell apart. Last and final visit got barbacoa, had zero taste, and was dry AF. It's not a far ride from my job so was hoping that this spot would be my new go too. After that barbacoa combined with the usual unfriendly staff, I won't be returning. It is a disappointment. On to the next spot. I hear jalapenos kitchen is good.

The older lady in the front who takes the orders is very very miserable and rude .. my order was takeout so I called to order for pickup like anyone else would do but the line wasn’t working so I went in to order .. when I asked her what’s a good phone # so I can call ahead next time she goes “well your here now right “ .. and I gladly told her how unprofessional she is, even though she could careless. I would have never put $ in this place after that but I was in a rush so I had no choice. This time around my food was dry & had no flavor at all so I will no longer be a customer anymore. Consider hiring someone who isn’t miserable & actually knows customer service.

This is real Mexican food. Somehow reminds me of Southern California Mexican food, but maybe that's just me.

So good, some of the best Mexican in Providence. Beef soup was delicious.

Every time my boyfriend and I eat here the only thing we say the whole meal is “SOO GOOD” because that’s all we can say. We also cannot find a way to stop ourselves from eating too much because again, it’s sooo good.

Idk if it’s the time of day we’re going by but I’m always surprised this place isn’t slammed, part of me wants to keep it a secret so our new favorite doesn’t get too crowded but if you’re on the fence about where to eat tonight you should go to La Lupita.

Vegetarian options: You can sub beans for a lot of things and they let you know if there’s meat on something normally so you have the option to sub.

My go to is the burrito regular de asada and my wife’s is the tacos de asada regular. Can’t forget the tamales chicken and jalapeño with cheese are my favorite. We order all of our food with the green sauce. Just exquisite.
The lady up front is just sweet !

This is a super tasty Mexican spot over in Olneyville. We stopped by on a Thursday night and were able to grab a prime seat. We tried their queso Birria tacos (3 per order) and their UFO special with lamb barbacoa- both were DELICIOUS!

Pro-Tip:
- bring a friend so you can share multiple plates
- add the hot sauce

Went again this time for lunch. It was take out. I don’t know who picks up the phone but it’s an older lady, very rude with all my respect. They need someone else with better customer communication services to do this job.
Again the food is good. The quesadilla is authentic. It’s just the daytime service.
