La Lupita Tacos Mexicanos

RI Food Fights “Taco Mania!” brought us here — and I’m so glad it did!

From the outside, La Lupita doesn’t look like much, but step inside and you’re greeted with a clean, spacious, and festive dining area that feels warm and welcoming.

The staff was friendly and helpful. You order at the counter, and they bring the food right to your table — quick and easy!

We tried the Grilled Steak and Carnitas Tacos, both authentic and absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on — fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned meat, and soft, flavorful tortillas.

We also each had a Horchata, which was fantastic — sweet, creamy, and perfectly spiced.

If you’re looking for real Mexican tacos in a relaxed, inviting spot, La Lupita Tacos Mexicanos is definitely worth a visit!

Got delivery from this place. If I could I would give it negative stars. Elotes came without mayo and were entirely tasteless. Chicken burrito was not seasoned and was a soggy mess. Only edible after adding large amounts of salsa. Bland inedible food. Do not waste your time or money on this place. Absolute shame

We found this place through Rhode Island Food Fights. The theme for the month was taco's. This was one of the places that participated in the promotion. They did not disappoint!!! The tacos were out of this world. So good!! I would highly suggest the side sauces as well. They did an avocado one along with another that was sort of a pesto. Both were delicious!!! The staff were great and very friendly. We will certainly be back to visit again!!

They were very homophobic. As a Mexican lesbian I am very disgusted. The food was so disgusting. They were very disrespectful to my girlfriend. We couldn’t use the bathroom. There weren't any customers at all.

The food was so disgusting, so much that we left. They were very disrespectful, as a mexican i am very disappointed because it makes us look bad. We even saw a cockroach roaming around 🤮 They didn’t allow us to use the bathroom. There wasn’t any noise because there weren’t any customers at all.

Despite being in delapadated Olneyville decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt. First 2 times chicken burrito was fire despite the rude old miserable lady cashier and unfriendly staff. I am in fact from South America. 3rd visit the wrap fell apart. Last and final visit got barbacoa, had zero taste, and was dry AF. It's not a far ride from my job so was hoping that this spot would be my new go too. After that barbacoa combined with the usual unfriendly staff, I won't be returning. It is a disappointment. On to the next spot. I hear jalapenos kitchen is good.
