McBride's Pub in Wayland Square is truly a gem. When you walk into Mcbride's you get the feeling that you could spend all day there. The picky thing that's different between an actual real Irish pub in Ireland and McBride's is a fireplace. Many of the pubs I visited when I lived there had them but this is just as good. Plenty of seats at the bar, and tables around the corner to get some solid food and watch a game. Everyone's friendly whether you're a local or local for just a bite to eat.

Perfect pub vibe. Great service and food! Came in for a Guinness and a good Irish meal. Was not disappointed.

Nice place but live music really too loud to have a conversation with friend. The music could have been enjoyable at one third the volume. Good selection of beer.

Bartender took awhile to acknowledge our existence & I felt like an inconvenience when she eventually did speak to us. Didn’t offer water. They weren’t busy but still super slow- Potato wedges took abt 15 min?!.. & they weren’t very good. Beer was good tho. Bartender seemed more interested in talking to friends down the way. Service was borderline rude ?? also not a fan of their resigned motto of “it is what it is” & also “it could be a lot worse” LOL guess it speaks to our experience accurately ?‍♀️

One of our favorite things about doing RI Food Fights is discoving new-to-us places. The Lord of the Wings competition brought us here & left us wondering how we've never discovered this place before! I perfect, little Irish pub brought us right back to the rolling hills if Ireland - so authentic. Our friendly server told us that Tuesday nights feature live, tradition Irish music & we can't wait to return for this. The buffalo wings were very good - crispy, saucy, spicy & our pint of Guinness was fresh & cold. Perfectly how good pub fare should be!

RI Food Fight - Wings 2024: Got the BBQ and sweet chili wings. The service was fast and the waiter was very friendly. However, was a bit disappointed that the menu was a bit outdated so the prices (for the sweet potato fries) did not match what came on the check. But overall still a great experience.

We came in for lunch today and the place was really quiet, since they had just opened. After waiting for a moment, we were told that we could seat ourselves anywhere in the restaurant and could pick our own table. Our server brought over menus and asked us for our drink order while we decided what we were going to have. Several things on the menu sounded really delicious so we ordered a Reuben, a burger, the Mac and cheese and some wings. The food was really good and everyone at the table enjoyed the food. I loved reading about the story of how they transformed the funeral home garage into this bar and repurposed some of the original doors and windows into this new space. I bet the outdoor patio seating is wonderful in the summer and look forward to returning to check it out

Cute neighborhood Irish pub. Though I'm not a beer drinker they offer several including mixed drinks. I usually have a cider. They also have a food menu, but i typically go for a drink after dinner.

We decided to try this place on a Tuesday night when they have a live singer. He was quite good. The tables were filled with only 1 waitress so service was extremely slow. Dinner took 2 1/2 hours. Food was good. Mine was barely hot, others food was extremely hot. There biggest fail is their Irish coffee. We like it a lot, but only when properly made. One would expect an Irish pub to make it right. So we get this coffee with whiskey, containing no sugar with a squirt of canned whipped cream on it. It was awful. So not a real Irish pub. Likely will not visit again.

Solid food, solid rotating beer choices and a solid Guinness pour. Trivia on Wednesday nights can be fun. There is a parking lot behind McBride's where they will validate it up to 3 hours.

Always a great experience here. Food is very reasonably priced, it will fill you up and the service is outstanding. My favorite lunch spot.
