We took a chance on this very nondescript place from the outside and we were so happy with our experience. We were greeted as we entered, offered menus, and informed that there was table service. Our drinks were delivered right away and our breakfast orders taken. The portions were large and the food cooked to perfection. My pancake was light and fluffy as were my eggs and the bacon was perfect.

This place has been here since the 80s so they must be doing something right. Good place for breakfast or sandwiches, no reservations needed. Had breakfast here this weekend, simple American breakfast fare. I appreciated the real maple syrup. Had dinner here last year and it was also good. We had been told not to miss the cookies but found them rather dry/old and nothing special, but I bake so my family may be pickier than average. The prices are not exactly low, but the portions are large, especially some of the dinner entrees. I like this place when we want something simple and don't want to commit to reservations. They have a tiny parking lot but it's for staff. Metered street parking nearby.

I've been frequenting this café off and on since I attended college at Brown in the late 1990s. I always leave feeling completely satisfied, and look forward to returning the next time I'm in Rhode Island.

I love this little cafe/restaurant. You order at the counter and then they bring the food right to you. It's efficient but also really good.
Stopped in, by chance, for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed a Rueben and a 3 Salad Salad. The staff were prompt, helpful and the atmosphere delightful and quiet.
