This is a classic spot on Thayer St. I love that Meeting St has stuck around through all of the iterations of this area. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is solid but the coffee leaves a bit to the imagination. I enjoyed my veggie and cheese omelet with potatoes. Overall, a solid option for a casual breakfast.

This is the closest to an old fashioned diner in the Brown University neighborhood, has been at this location since 1984. Alcoholic beverages are not served, but they allow you BYOB and, conveniently, the Spiritus Fermenti liquor store is just a level down in the same building. My better half and I had dinner here yesterday before attending an art concert in the Brown campus, and today I took advantage of their breakfast offerings in the afternoon after completing my taxes. For dinner I had their sirloin steak plate and she had the tuna melt sandwich plate. As you can see in the photos, portions are very generous and almost impossible to finish! Menu is extensive and you can order online for pickup if desired. Ambiance is casual and family friendly. Service is very quick after you order with the cashier. Free street parking is available in spots along Thayer and Brooke streets, as well as metered street parking. I did enjoy their old fashioned appeal and their friendly service, and certainly we'll be back.

Meeting Street Cafe is a great place for casual breakfast. I most recently got the chicken and waffles, which is served with strawberries and bananas for a fun twist. The chicken is also pounded flat before breading, which I thought was a nice touch. My boyfriend got a breakfast burrito, and I finished it for him, and I would say the burrito is okay, but maybe not where they shine brightest. You order at the counter and food gets brought to the table pretty quickly. The slightly off Thayer St. Location is bustling, and parking can be a little tricky. There's a spot of two in the shared parking lot in front for the cafe, but otherwise it's street parking.

Actually the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. And perfectly wrapped not one thing fell out. A hangover cure in a tortilla. You can tell the ingredients are really fresh and it feels and tastes homemade. Chefs kiss ??

In short words. This place felt like home when I didn’t even knew it existed.Food was outstanding. I got the Steak & Cheese Hoagie sub with bacon and provolone cheese and let me tell you.. I Ate. It. Up.I left NOTHING on that place. The food was so good that my friend ordered the Salmon skillet. Me not liking fish and stuff; tried it and it was so good that I ate the last piece that was on the table that my friend left .The food was amazing. And the service was amazing. Prices are great for an every day breakfast and good joint. Would make this my every day spot.1000/10

Food was great! I got the Salmon Skillet and it did not disappoint. The salmon was so good, my friend had tried it for the first time there and literally ate the last piece that had dropped onto the table “to good to go to waste”The staff was also super nice! Great

Competent deli/diner style foods in generous quantities. The menu is huge, like the portions, but nothing I've eaten here was a gourmet experience . The Rueben is not bad but the corned beef, which i don't recognize an d may be house made, is only fair.

Great breakfast at the MS cafe. I'm a sucker when you say you have home made corned beef hash and they did not disappoint. It was great with chunks of green pepper and onions with definitely homemade corned beef. Tasty! Hard to mess up the eggs and they did not. The hash browns were surprisingly great as well. I don't usually expect much. They were crispy and flavorful not at all the mushy kind. The French toast was also really good. The place reminds me of the soup place on the Seinfeld show in the way you order. But the people were nice.

This place has a ton of options and based on our experience solid tasting sandwiches. I had the Thanksgiving because that what I had last time I was here 10 years ago and it was as good as I remembered it. It's literally thanksgiving dinner on bread. My wife had the Reuben and also enjoyed it. The potato salad had good flavor as well.

The food was average. But they charge extra for syrup if you need more than the tiny container they give you which is annoying because if you don't want to go up there and pay for extra ya just eat dry pancakes. The potatoes were okay not much flavor.

I am new to the Providence area and have been on a mission to find my new favorite breakfast place. I've ordered a pancake combo at a number of different places on the east side of Providence and this one was my least favorite and the most expensive at $15.95. The pancake was a little overdone but the eggs were very good. The bacon was a large helping but not my favorite. I certainly wouldn't stay away, but it just wasn't my favorite place I've been to but the people next to us ordered sandwiches that looked great. All in all I may come back to try a sandwich.
