We dine here quite often and usually have a wonderful meal. We had a very important guest with us this time and the food was not quite up to the standard we usually expect there. Our server, while friendly and knowledgeable , seemed to forget us as we were in the back room. Our food was very slow coming out and once served, everything was pretty much room temperature, leading us to believe it sat for a bit. If we had not been with our guest, we would have said something but we chose not to this time. We will be back of course as we like to dine here and that will not change, but this was truly a let down and disappointing on this particular visit.
We have enjoyed many excellent meals at Mill Tavern, and last night was no exception. We started with the blue fish pate, and for a second course ordered swordfish and Frutti di Mare ravioli, which was truly oustanding! We sat at the bar and were well taken care of by the bartender (apologies I have forgotten her name).
Went for our 6th year anniversary and they made it a perfect dinner! From the cozy corner table, the little personal note, to the champagne toast with dessert! The food was amazing and the service was excellent! I recommend Mill's Tavern to anyone just having a night out or celebrating a special occasion!
Mill's is very special. We are making it our anniversary go to restaurant. The dishes are delicious and creative. The service (David) was spot on! We were surprised at how many were there on a Monday night! That speaks for itself.
The food was so good. Service was amazing. They pay attention to allergies. It is a little pricey but really worth it. Will totally come back another day.
We had an excellent experience at Mill's Tavern, our first time. They made us feel special and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and the wine. He made an excellent wine recommendation. The meal was delicious and exactly as described. We will definitely come back.
A wonderful way to celebrate our Anniversary! The food was delicious and the cocktails were refreshing. Will definitely return!
Awesome experience from valet to wait staff to the chef who came to the table !!! We will return !
Instead of walking around the table where there was ample room the server reached across the table to serve the drinks and spills the martini on the menu and table. That set the tone of the evening, amateur service and average food. Cesar salad was wet with sauce, the short ribs were cold, the Brussel sprouts were inedibly sweet. It was an unexpected disappointment, fool we once.
Never disappoints! Start to finish everything was delicious. Attentive service. Will return!

We have been going to Mill's Tavern for years. The food is always amazing, the menu changes seasonally which we love, the specialty drinks are always fun and tasty and the execution of the menu is always spot on. Mills has been a regular place for us to celebrate our anniversary for several years. This year we had the pleasure of bringing our 16 month old daughter. We made a 4:30 reservation and we were welcomed with smiles and a highchair. Our server Phil has waited on us in the past, this experience was no different than our previous visits. Phil is very personable, he has excellent knowledge of the menus and he was really good about not wasting time because he fully understood that toddlers do expire. He also makes excellent wine selections! The three of us enjoyed our entire meal and had a wonderful experience thanks to Phil. We will certainly be back again soon!

10 minutes before even asked about a cocktail , martini served in a thimble, rack of lamb that tasted like marinade not lamb , overall expensive and less than mediocre.

This is hands down one of the BEST restaurants in RI. If you are looking for a fine dining experience at a reasonable cost with high quality food, this is the place to visit! The waitstaff were nothing short of pleasant, accommodating, and enthusiastic about the menu options. The amuse-bouche bites were a surprising addition to our meal with each morsel serving as a delicious palate cleanser between main courses. Then the dessert...mmm, mmm, mmm, the bread pudding was one of the best! Melt in your mouth, perfectly flavored, and just like it came out of grandma's kitchen. There was not one disappointment. We will be back to try different items on the menu. Highly recommend!!

My boyfriend and I were on vacation visiting from Florida and came here our last night to have a lovely intimate dinner for our anniversary. The service was absolutely immaculate. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive, I can't remember his name but he was a young man. The oysters were phenomenal as was the wagyu and salmon entrees. I've worked in the service industry for 14 years and this restaurant was the nicest place I have ever eaten. The ambiance was great, nice candle lit dinner with rose petals on the table. I was beyond impressed with everything about this establishment.
One of the best restaurants in the Providence area. Great food courteous staff, excellent ambience.
