Seems like the restaurant suffers from an identity crisis. Does it want to be a restaurant or a lounge bar? The variety of cuisine is confusing ( some Italian, sushi, and some Dominican). I can say that if u are going to be on Federal Hill the Italian food should be good and it was not.
This was our first time dining at Mona Lisa, and def will return. It has a hip vibe upon entry, with some pulsing beats in the background. Our party of 6 includes hard of hearing friends, so this was a little bit of a challenge, but there was good energy in the dining room. Service was very attentive and the menu is eclectic. It is mostly Italian, with additional flair from Puerto Rico and Sushi. I am keto and a friend has a gluten allergy — not a problem. The kitchen accommodated...
