Had a bad experience with management or staff (not sure what he was) that left me uncomfortable. I’m from Tennessee where smoking on patios is totally fine. Just got back to RI for school and stopped by for a beer. Lit a cigarette on the patio and not 2 seconds later this older man with a beard and glasses is YELLING AT ME. “You KNOW you’re not supposed to be doing that here. Get down. Descend the patio RIGHT NOW.” Not even my own parents have talked to me in this tone - maybe when I was 6 or 7 - and as a young woman (22), being commanded what to do by a grown man I do not know is not fun! All 4 of my friends commented on how weird it was how he was shouting at me and escalating the situation.Even weirder- I tried to apologise and say I was not aware of these rules. This brewery employer yells at me - “YOU’RE LYING!!!” with this crazy anger. Why would I lie to him and do something I know wasn’t allowed?!?!?If your first response is being horridly angry and on a power trip as management, u shouldn’t be on management or in hospitality and service. This staff member needs higher executive functioning and to be in better control of his emotions. The gaslighting was also unnecessary. Hope he felt better after taking his emotional baggage out on me. The situation was small and could’ve been resolved with a “maam ur not allowed to smoke here. U can down there.”

The Narragansett Beer came into fruition by 6 German immigrants in the 1890s; they combined $100k worth of funds to construct a brick brewing building in Cranston, RI. The beer gained popularity shortly after and it was the number one selling beer in New England. The building in Providence is beautiful with a balcony area. On a warm autumn day, we sat outside and enjoyed some brews. A few of my favorites were:Del's Shandy: reminded me of RI summers. I love the lemon flavor, it's refreshing!Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout: rich flavor that is sweet with hints of chocolate and toffee.Gourd Reaper Pumpkin Ale: tasted like pumpkin and spices; comes with a cinnamon sugar rim glass. This is perfection and tasted like autumn. They have many events and the taproom is spacious. The bar was clean and the beer-tenders are super awesome and friendly. There were plenty of parking spots during the early afternoon. Can't wait to go back soon!

This review is long overdue and special shout out to Ezra for being SO accommodating with us as we planned an after party for our baby shower. My fiance and I have loved coming here since we moved to the PVD area three years ago and have never had a bad experience. Every team member is friendly and quick to help, even when the bar is packed. The space is always great, never dirty or sticky floors. They have rotating live music, the crowd is always welcoming and the beer selection has something for everyone. To the guy who reported them so that people can't bring their dogs any more, booo that man.

Went this past Sunday for the oyster event. Couldn’t find a table that did not have a reserved sign on it, Which was half of the seating. A majority of the other half of the seating was taken up by local vendor pop ups. Bar was completely full. And standing room wasn’t permitted in the areas where empty reserved tables were. Brewery needs to do better planning when it comes to events. How do you expect people to show up when they can’t get in the door, let alone park?

Came in to meet some friends I hadn’t seen in a while. I had a delicious IPA and the tunes were groovy ~ an all vinyl DJ set. You don’t see that every day! Will definitely be back

After waiting for 10 minutes at the entrance way with no line, and no one to greet us to be seated, we seated ourselves. We waited another 15 minutes for a host or server to appear or someone to acknowledge us from the bar area to no avail. While we were waiting, I noticed that other people at nearby tables were also being ignored. You would figure being 6 pm on a Saturday, and not that busy, there would be somebody accessible. We took our time leaving, thinking maybe a staff member would notice us.... Nope.

The cutest place right near the water in Providence!

Don’t go for food. Good beer and good vibes but it’s pretty much just snacks on the menu. We waited almost an hour for some flatbreads and nachos and had to ask. They had been sat in the kitchen getting cold for ages. Staff were great about it and gave us for free, but this is such a good brewery and there’s so much room for improvement with the food.

Really nice space with a large bar and plenty of room to spread out. Some lot parking which is great in this area. Excellent service that was quick and friendly. I was a little disappointed with their winter warmer ale but enjoyed the gourd reaper pumpkin ale. Will definitely be back and would recommend. In the summer there's a nice patio section.

The food is good but not many options unless there is also a food truck that day. The beer is refreshing and always good. It is weird this place is Narragansett Brewing, a Gansett' is usually drank in the high quantity at a local dive bar, not at a very nice and modern brewery. Overall, the place is great and its nice to go there and India Point Park right after.

This brewery has a parking lot that can fill up quickly. It's very close to the water and there's a park nearby. There is plenty of seating inside with seating outside. There's a good variety of beer and a decent selection for food. The beer cheese was surprisingly very very good and the pretzel was nice too. Overall it's a great hangout spot!

Way better than originally expected. Before going to Narragansett Brewery I was more-so assuming it would be a touristy, large, high-volume establishment due to have known Narragansett beer is; however, it is a rather modest size, with a cozy feel and a great staff. Highly recommend. Beer is very good with a large variety and fair pricing.
