We stopped in here after dinner for a few drinks and to catch the live sax performance. I'm not sure which was better, but neither disappointed. Can't wait to go back for the food which looked and smelled incredible.

Came here for drinks and vibe was on point..

A big disappointment! Noise level was crazy loud with patrons shouting like it was an outdoor stadium. Drinks were fairly good but nothing special. Their idea of a cheese plate was an overpriced selection of 3 ordinary cheese selection and a few crackers. Food items were also overpriced and nothing special. Not only was noise level uncomfortable for table conversation but people were allowed to stand on top of our table space even though there were no seats to accommodate their party. Would not recommend nor will we return.

Unfortunate

I had to go to the bar to remind my waitress we ordered food, she opens the kitchen door and there's our food. Music was amazing while the dj was there but unfortunately left by 10:30.

I can't say I've ever had a bad experience at needle and thread. I was so happy when they announced that they would be open on Sundays because I was able to celebrate my birthday there last night (2/18). Drinks are always on point. The menu changes seasonally and I can't say I've ever had any complaints. Looking forward to my next visit!

Went to listen to a Saxophonist Play and had a Great Time on Date Night with the Wife. Ambiance was Great Drinks were really good and the Waitress was Outstanding!!! Really Nice place to come and enjoy a night out. Highly Recommend this place.

If I could give this place negative stars I would! I will NEVER patronize this place again. They think they’re doing Big business by staying on top of this but are too “vigilant” for their own good! I went to Needle and Thread downtown Providence owned by a guy named Eddie or whoever… I buy a couple of drinks, get in line for the bathroom. I was in the bathroom no more than 2 minutes when I hear the doorknob rattle and the door attempt to be open. I continue with my business, only to have one of the employees open the door on me in the middle of washing my hands. The door was definitely locked which means the bathroom is in use. I guess is policy to open the door up if you don’t respond to someone trying to get in. I clearly said excuse me! The door was locked and slammed the door in the employee’s face because they deserved that for being too hung up on idk what to not be able to give me my few minutes of privacy. When I exited the bathroom I had a major attitude and some guy (not the employee who opened the door) starts to apologize for the mistake. I brush him off like I don’t want to hear it because there was no need for the rush response of opening the door on me. He then says you can get out! I’m like ok I will get out. This place is no place special to get my privacy invaded then for the situation to be pacified by some lame excuse. The real reason for this entire thing is they’re doing too much! Take it down a notch! As I’m walking up the only way I only way out stair case the guy who kicked me out for being upset then proceeds to act like I’m the problem by telling security to not let me back in. There’s no ratchets allowed he says verbatim! As if I was acting outta character for being violated! I’m am too through with this establishment.

I went on a Thursday evening for smooth R&B. The DJ was amazing. He played such a good mix of upbeat R&B. Mine and my dates food was prepared to perfection and delicious. We had the short ribs, shrimp, jer chicken and fries. My server customized my drink for me and it as EVERYTHING! This place has such a chill, moody vibe. I'll definitely be returning.

My partner and I visited on a Saturday, early evening and despite the place not being busy, the servers tended to take long with asking for our orders and bringing the check. We started with the fish tacos which were the highlight of the night. I had the N&T Rice Bowl it was delicious but I could’ve done without the grapes and pineapples. Yuck. My partner had the Royale With Cheese which was delicious as well but the fries were overly seasoned. I had the Fruta & Fuego drink which was good but the salt/sugar rim it comes with was disgusting. The atmosphere was chill for the most part but on a cold Winter evening the last thing you want is the fan blowing at your neck. Overall Needle & Thread has some major improvements to work on. It’s like they almost got it but it’s not there yet.

Great spot in downtown Providence for a delicious meal a good drink and a very chill vibe. The staff is friendly and professional and make the experience that much enjoyable. Great date spot, or just to have dinner with friends. Do yourself a favor and drop in after work or on the weekends. Grown up vibe but very chill.

Excellent place to grab a drink after dinner or just to hang out. Service was great, small plates for food, and drinks were fancy. Good place to go to grab a drink prior to going somewhere else for dinner as well. Pricy though.

Needle and Thread is a cool venue with a great atmosphere. The location and decor are that of an old-school speakeasy. The staff was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was not great. We ordered the charcuterie board for $23 which was basically a $10 grocery store spread. Very lacking and disappointing. We then split the chicken sandwich which was ok but nothing special. It was supposed to be a chicken breast and it was chicken pieces, not even a full breast. Not worth the money. Needle and Thread looks like a great place to have a drink, hang out and listen to live music which they had starting at 11. I would skip the food and instead head over for a night out with friends after getting food elsewhere.

First time going after following online since they opened. Why did I wait so long?! Food was delicious, drinks were delicious, service was fantastic! Loved the speakeasy feel, dark wood, dark walls, good music. Bar is pretty. Small and intimate settings. Never felt rushed by staff. Definitely going back
