They have many restaurants from which to pick and I chose the MAKE OUT bar and made my own bowl. They have many options and all of the are very tasty.

Fabulously located on the river with great outdoor seating, very bike friendly and a great spot for a date!! We tried Besina, the Mexican concept for lunch one day and the Italian concept, Double Zero, for dinner another night. Both had inventive, well executed menus though not a total knockout from either. Would come back to try more from both of these spots, as well as the other businesses in the market hall. Double Zero: We loved the deconstructed raw lasagne - I cannot emphasize how cool this dish is - cultured cashew ricotta, dollops of tomato sauce and pesto, and thinly sliced ribbons of raw zucchini. It's phenomenal and I want to make it at home. Not as great - the chili pizza. It doesn't have enough toppings and was just an oily sheet of dry dough with globs of the same cashew ricotta. Besina: We were pleased to be introduced to Tlayuda, a thin Oaxacan flat bread that they top with jackfruit, loads of cultured cashew crema, herbs, and avocado. My partner was crazy about it but i'm generally not totally convinced by the sweetness of jackfruit and it was a little too wet for my taste. Not as great - the Tacos Dorados. Fried oyster mushrooms were heavy and dense and served with an aioli which contributed to the heavy flavors. Could be remedied with a lighter batter on the mushrooms and more of a salad/pickled veg component and it would be delicious. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-04

As likely the largest veg restaurant outside of CA, PC belongs on your list of 100 veg restaurants to visit before you die. PC certainly puts diminutive RI on the HC map. Perhaps too esoteric for Providence, PC may better belong in Manhattan or Boston. While a marvel of furniture décor & dazzling dinnerware, after 4 years its gloss has begun wearing thin. All fads fade. Riding the waves of vegan chic, as a hotspot PC's hotness seems to be cooling & its crowds thinning. Most customers at veg restaurants are not strictly veg. While we vegheads will remain veg, the larger population of non-vegheads may be moving on to some newer hotspot that serves the latest nouvelle cuisine, maybe even haute cuisine. Indoors, the plastic plants serve as apt metaphors for Plastic City. White flour, white sugar & fried foods abound. The spongiform burger buns are all lame white flour. To its credit, except for seitan that is whiter than white flour, mock meats that make a mockery of veganism are absent here. Only if you dare, read the micro font ingredients on the grab-n-go desserts where you'll find listed High Fructose Corn Syrup! Wait! It gets worse. As though industrial-grade Cottonseed Oil were not bad enough, PC's is Hydrogenated! That is Trans Fat! Either Matthew Kinney has joined a carnivore conspiracy intent to rob vegans of their health, or this is a bad April Fool's joke. Nevertheless, the food is only secondary. The sad food poses as an excuse for serving coffee & booze. As tho 1 sit-down full bar were not enough, it has 3. If the booze does not dull your senses to the unremarkable food, the perpetually glowing barroom TVs will further distract you. So forget about the forgettable food. Don't eat here seeking merely a culinary experience. Rather, come here to witness a cultural phenomenon. The food is not the point. PC is not about the food. PC is all about itself. It calls itself the Matthew Kenney Experience. I'd prefer simply a vegan food experience. I've eaten here 4 times during the past 4 years. The 1st time because it was my 1st time. The 2nd time to introduce PC to a vegan friend visiting from CA. The 3rd time to bring a vegan friend visiting from Europe. Yesterday, my 4th time presciently on April Fool's Day, to bring the Vegan Queen of Queens NYC in order to reenforce what she already knew, that vegan restaurants really do exist beyond the orbit of Manhattan. If I ever eat here a 5th time, it will be to bring a vegan friend visiting from Antarctica.

Best plant based option around.

In my one day trip through Providence, I came here twice! First, I got their cake of the week - a guava cream cheese flavor, and it was oh so moist and, honestly, might be my favorite vegan cake I've had yet. I came back for dinner and ate at the restaurant on the 2nd floor (see picture for vibes) and ate the delicious fettuccini alfredo ($21). This place has it all - a cute little grocery with vegan staples and a grab-n-go section (where I got the cake), as well as (at least?) two restaurants, a smoothie bar, and more. All in all, very glad I happened upon this place. I stayed in downtown Providence and this was located just across the pedestrian bridge.

In town for the night and after lots of searching it seemed like Plant City was the place to grab some vegan eats. I will spend nights dreaming of Double Zero's Warm Creamed Spinach Dip & Toasted Flatbread. Love the idea for a vegan food hall - I want one in every city!

Went to Double Zero (Italian) and each dish was great. Excited to try the other concepts too. Brunch menus also look great! Updated from previous review on 2024-02-26

This vegan food hall is a great find, whether for a quick grab and go, or bringing a big family party to each enjoy lots of different options. I've tried about a fourth of the three different menus, and everything has been quite tasty! Updated from previous review on 2021-10-10

We were really excited to visit Plant City and it was pretty awesome. Just to have an all vegan community with multiple restaurant options was pretty awesome. We ate at Newburger & had some of the best cauliwings I ever tasted. We also loved Double Zero's pasta & pizza. We grabbed some baked goods and all was very, very good.

I will edit this review at some point later to individually review each one in the text below, since these are multiple separate restaurants with different dining areas and menus, as well as a marketplace/grab and go, but they cannot be separated on HappyCow except for one (Besina), apparently because they have the same address/ownership and are all Matthew Kenney concepts. This makes it complicated to review them, but I wrote to HappyCow and haven't heard back. The individual restaurants are New Burger, Besina, and Double Zero, and Make Out, and there is also 345 speakeasy lounge & mixology cocktail bar, coffee bar, and a marketplace with groceries, other items, and a grab-and-go. I have not even had the chance to eat at/experience all of them yet, unfortunately. However, Plant City in general is an amazing vegan wonderland and the food that I have had is all amazing. It is at the bottom of college hill, right next to the river walk and nearby footbridges to downtown Providence. Definitely recommend coming here even if not from the area. Stayed at a hotel across the footbridge from Plant City and it was perfect. Double Zero: Italian food, amazing. Had the raw zucchini lasagna and the "Meatballs" for the table dish. Also had the eggplant parm previously at the Boston location of this restaurant (now closed I believe), best eggplant parm ever had.

It was great being able to go somewhere and get something from any of the places. I only got a latte from the coffee bar this time, would definitely go again. The brown sugar rosemary latte was not as brown sugar and rosemary as I thought it would be but still good. Baked goods were pretty good too, it was tempting to try all of them. Dinner at Double Zero was good, but not great. Portions were expensive but generous (no one was able to finish, so we took the leftovers home). The pasta dishes were better than the pizza, which was a bit disappointing, and everything was oversalted. Main courses didn't arrive together, so some dishes cooled while we waited for everyone to be served. Still, I appreciate being able to order anything on the menu, and will return to try some of the other options.

The food is really good and the curbside pick up is efficient.

We make excuses to fly across the country to eat here! We have eaten at both restaurants upstairs(Bessina & Double Zero) as well as trying lots of pastries downstairs. Everything was great. I love the Double Zero artichoke dip- could eat it for a meal. The sausage calzone is very authentic. Nachos are excellent. Quesadillas are great. If you're getting pastry try a pop tart. The ambience upstairs is lovely with a nice view. #Veganuary

We went to the Mexican restaurant. The food was fantastic. I had the Tlayuda which was amazing. And for dessert I had the special which was crumble with apples and cranberries and a la mode. Highly recommend. Will be back for sure. Next time it will be the pizza place.
