We had a fabulous Saturday brunch while visiting Providence. The menu is innovative, service is efficient and knowledgeable, and execution is perfect. Would return for sure.
We ended up at Oberlin during a work trip, drawn in by its stylish ambiance. The $14 bread and olive plate was perplexing—burnt bread and ordinary olives left us scratching our heads. We tried the raw fish sampler, which was decent but not worth the steep price of over $100 . The overall vibe felt like a throwback to 2012 hipster chic. Coming from Texas, we expected more substance for the price.
Probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We had the crudo combo platter, marinated mussels, raw scallops, focaccia, tonnarelli, and risotto. Definitely worth the price and everyone was super friendly!
A fantastic modern eatery with interesting flavorful dishes and even better service! I cannot recommend it enough. The red plum margarita is to die for!
Lovely atmosphere. Lovely innovative cuisine.
Highly recommended.
AMAZING! 🤩
Great food, great variety, great staff!
Recommend to make a reservation especially during peak hours, otherwise there are available bar seats outside
Had brunch on Saturday and we didn’t make reservations. We arrived at the time they opened and there were some people in line already but we still got the table fortunately.
The oysters foche was good we liked it and the maritozzo was also recommended, I really like the bread’s texture with cream, the one we had has jam inside so it’s not too greasy and had different layers taste. Price is reasonable for me given the portion of food. Waiters here are really kind and welcoming.
Went here for brunch as a group (we had a reservation) it was a gorgeous spring afternoon which was enjoyable because we sat outside. The food was delicious, I recommend taking a look at the menu before. It’s definitely brunch with a twist. The staff was kind and attentive. I will note it did take a little while for the food to come out. But since we didn’t have urgent plans afterwards we did not mind at all. I surely recommend this gem of a place.

Hands down top 3 meals of my life. Not too pretentious and super flavorful. If you get the chance go to Oberlin!!!
A chef, Tim i think?? - was making inappropriate comments about American politics while I was asking about the menu. I understand you don’t agree with my “red hat” but as a customer I didn’t need his eye roll and TBH I think he tampered with my food simply bc he doesn’t agree w me politically. You guys can do better! Loose cannon!
Another Providence gem! The seafood here was absolutely amazing and fresh. I had the pleasure of sitting at the chef’s table and got to see chef Russel work his magic. It was dinner and a show and Russel really turned the meal into an experience.
The best part of the night was running into the bartender/waitress from their sister restaurant Gift Horse, who eagerly escorted me next door for some after dinner drinks. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal!
First time visiting Oberlin and we weren't disappointed. DuMol wine dinner was fantastic. All the dishes were beautifully presented, very innovative with wonderful flavors. We especially enjoyed the sea bass and apple crudo paired with a light and fruity Chardonnay. Also loved the pork cheeks with polenta, the gnocchi, clams and scallops in brown butter sauce, and the whipped Castelmango cheese desert with walnuts, honey and toasted brioche. Quite the experience. The wait staff was professional, attentive and friendly - and the pace of plates was perfect. We weren't rushed at all. Special thanks to Bethany for the wonderful wine pairings. Oberlin compares to some of the finest Michelin-starred restaurants we've visited. Highly recommended.
Tell me why did I pay $20 for a cheese plate that legit had four crackers on it… at least put it on a smaller plate to look larger.
