I got the veggie burger and asked for it vegan which is an option they advertise on the menu. They definitely noted it when I ordered but they made it with dairy cheese and I had to have them remake it. Ogies is a great spot for drinks. I’m glad they offer vegan options but you should double check your order and make it clear you want the vegan version.
Ogie’s is the quintessential 21-to-40 something hipster Providence hangout spot. You can eat at the restaurant without alcohol (or age restriction).
Its charm comes from a laissez-faire feel: people with dogs, various random bar happenings, high-low culture banter. Food is exceptionally prepared American cuisine with zero health consciousness.
I would highly recommend going. It is wicked unlike a local bar, though.
Really unique experience with the way they serve the food along with the outdoor patio area. The bar is usually packed but that doesn't stop these folks from providing great service. Great drink selection as well.
