Traveled to Providence on business and as is always my habit, I did a search for tasty vegan spots to try. While we didn't feel like taking a drive, grub-hub was a great option as the reviews for Pianta Vegan were quite good. My husband is not vegan but always accommodates my vegan diet. With that, I ordered one of the larger dishes on the menu for him, the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and cornbread. He loved it! It was hearty and flavorful. The gravy was exceptional. The mashed potatoes had the perfect amount of butter and garlic. He also really enjoyed the chicken cutlets. My only suggestion to make this dish perfect was a little green vegetable on the side. Yayyy. It always makes me happy when a non vegan enjoys a vegan dish! I opted for the flatbread with mushrooms and sausage. Unfortunately, I was full from that amazing half a steak and cheese egg roll I had to have (saving the rest for tomorrow), and a little salad I had made as a starter because you should eat a veggie first before the other components of your meal. Anyway, the flatbread (only had 2 slices of it) was delicious. Perfect crust, delicious béchamel base on which the right amount of toppings were placed. Baked perfectly as well. Our desserts were very tasty (olive oil cake which I love) and the strawberry shortcake trifle. I did finish all of my dessert given I have been on a no sugar fast for the past three weeks but my husband was too full to tackle more than a spoon of his dessert. Now I do have a complaint about grub-hub leaving my food down in the lobby of the hotel on a table rather than waiting for me to get down there to pick it up and really want to take back my tip or at least reduce it but won't do so. Would definitely try this restaurant again on a future visit would not use Grub-hub though!

Delectable edibles with warm and efficient service. Six of us shared the goodness of each other's choices and every single thing was delicious. The olive oil cake with lemon curd was divine! . We look to our next visit.

This place is incredible. I have a gluten allergy and I appreciated that I had so many options and that my allergy was taken seriously. I don’t regularly eat vegan, but I would return here time and time again. It’s that good!

She took the time to come out to discuss it with me personally and craft a meal that was incredible and met my strange dietary requirements. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. Been a supporter of Pianta since before they had their own brick and mortar and my gosh, they have just gotten better over the years.Every single work trip I take in this region, I make it a point to eat here. Tonight’s delights include their Wild Mushroom & Truffle Flatbread (with added buffalo chicken) and the Crispy Brussel Sprouts. Whether it’s been take out or eat-in, service is always spot on as well.Love, love, love Pianta. Vegan perfection.
My friend and I are on a vegan food tour of Providence and were very excited to try Pianta!We ordered four things to share.The steak egg rolls: Fantastic! They were definitely conservative with the dipping sauce, though, the container had a very small amount in it.The smashed potatoes: We didn’t receive these, instead we received Penne Vodka. While we were excited about the potatoes, this was a pleasant surprise as the penne was absolutely delicious.The buffalo chicken wrap: We ordered a wrap but we’re given a sub sandwich. My only real complaint about our dinner was that this sub was very dry. They didn’t put any sauce or ranch on it at all, it was definitely lacking.The loaded Italian grinder: I do not have words for how amazing this was. Italian subs are one of the only things I truly miss from before I was vegan and it was absolutely delightful.Overall satisfied, and I’m definitely going to have to come back for the potatoes!
