This was our second trip to this restaurant. Highly recommend for a special occasion. Position and big for apps.

Best plant based option around.

It was so nice going to a restaurant and being able to order anything off the menu. We got the memela, burrito, Chile relleno, and churros and chocolate with dulce de leche. I would recommend all of them, it was a lot of food though, good for leftovers.

The food is really good and the curbside pick up is efficient.

We made a long drive to Providence after listening to a podcast interview on the Plant Strong podcast. We arrived on a weekday soon after the place opened and had lunch on the second level. The food was delicious and our waiter, Cole, was very friendly and attentive. We ordered two pizzas to take home with us, Basil Pesto and Buffalo Chickn (Tofu). Pizzas and our pasta dinners were both very tasty!

I have ordered delivery and pickup several times over the years. Hot delivery items have always arrived cold. They are often out of items in their marketplace -- this is not kept up to date. They then do not offer an immediate refund or confirmation that z refund is being processed. When they left something out of an order, and I pointed it out to them, the promised refund never came through. The food at their restaurants is extremely overrated, even when one eats there and it arrives at the correct temperature. Please note that this review is based on MULTIPLE VISITS, PICKUPS AND DELIVERIES SINCE THIS LOCATION OPENED IN PROVIDENCE (5 or 6 years ago?). I will no longer bother trying.

i don't think i'm capable of rating a fully vegan place less than 5 stars, but the food here was incredible. we got the elote to start (my only complain is that it needed salt), then i had the burrito and my fiancé had the fajita bowl. for dessert we shared the churros. i also got an iced peppermint mocha latte. i preferred the burrito over the fajita bowl but both were delicious! i also loved the concept of choosing which menu we wanted to eat from inside the market. our server was also very sweet and funny, i wish i remembered her name!

First time here. Love that everything is vegan. However we went to the Mexican resturant upstairs. At 3:00 in the afternoon. Not busy at all. Ordered nachos tacos and a mole burrito. They messed up the burrito and brought Chile relleno. And we were half way thru our nachos and our beers haven't arrived. We had to ask a passing server for them. The service was bad. All of the servers were busy on their phones so it was really difficult to tell them they screwed up my husbands order. Nobody checked on us forever. When the server was made aware of the situation she server basically accused him of ordering the wrong thing. Listening would be a good skill for her to develop. And manners. My husband said MOLE about 3 times. If I were the manager I would at least come to the table and make things right. We went way out of our way to come here. Great idea. But the service is terrible.

Being from Los Angeles and being Mexican, I had my reservations about eating (vegan)Mexican food in Rhode Island. I’ve eaten at plenty of Mexican vegan restaurants in Southern California and I’ve got to say, Plant City Besina overshadows them. We started off strong with the elote. Personally, I love elote with a little more lemon zing, however, my family said they were perfectly acidic. Then we followed it with memelas. Everything about this dish ? The maza was cooked to perfection! The mushrooms were slightly spicy, which I found delightfully surprising. The beans were lightly salted and smooth. I didn’t think it could get better and then it did. I ate the jackfruit pastor tacos. First bite was heavenly. I have eaten jackfruit pastor and been underwhelmed 98% of the time. I’m happy to say this time was different. After the first bite, I stopped eating to appreciate how balanced and seasoned the taco felt. The tortilla can make or break a taco. I would be surprised to find out that these tortillas are not made in house. I loved the small attention to detail by lightly oiling the tortillas. I rarely see that done in restaurants and executed well. As for my family, they enjoyed the dorados tacos and loved them! They loved them so much they refused to share ? Overall, a lovely experience. If I lived in this city, let alone this state, I would be a “regular” here. Thank you ??

Plant City is a plant-based food hall, which also includes a take-away market with a lot of great provisions to choose from. Coming for breakfast or lunch is the move! They have an absolutely delicious coffee bar inside the first floor. Their drinks menu at the coffee bar is quite large featuring house-made plant milks. You must come here for delicious, silky nitro cold brew. And while you're ordering, get yourself their featured fritter. They do a fritter special every week, Thursday-Sunday. This blueberry fritter was incredible! The space at the food hall is abundant and the outdoor tables and umbrellas are adorable with a little view of downtown Providence.

i love seeing more vegetarian restaurants popping up around the country, and plant city was one of the best I've seen to date! I ordered the truffle burger and it was absolutely droolworthy. the truffle mayo was SO umami, the mushroom was beautifully crunchy, and the fact that you can choose from three different restaurants (all vegetarian!) in one? absolutely dreamy!located right off the providence river, this is good eats in a prime location. i would have loved to enjoy my meal outside, as they have patio seating; however, it was too cold/windy to do so. i guess I'll have to come back!

Coffee shop, vegan bakery, market, and restaurant incubator all in one, Plant City is a mecca for vegans, foodies, or anyone looking for an elevated, health-conscious alternative in Providence. We stopped in to this bright and airy space on a Friday morning for breakfast. After perusing their aisles of vegan friendly items, we settled on a couple of treats from their gorgeous bakery case. The stunning everything croissant and the decadent German chocolate pop tart made for a nice snack enjoyed on their chic and spacious patio. We look forward to coming back for dinner at one of their concept restaurants next time.

TLDR: There's no other place like Plant City. Exquisite, mouth-watering American, Italian, and Mexican dishes brought by ethically responsible management and accommodating staff adjacent to the Providence River. 9/10, an experience one cannot miss.Growing up eating beef stew, lamb skewers, or stir-fried chicken on a daily basis, vegan meals (bland salads) were always ignored on my radar. However, an unexpected diet of raw vegetables and tomato pasta this summer and the health benefits I felt from it opened me up to the realm of plant-based meals. However, the problem of flavor still remained: vegan meals, IMO, could never be as tasty as a cut of well-seasoned, perfectly grilled meat. That's why Plant City is so special. A restaurant & food hall that not only delivers delicious, flavorful vegan & allergen-aware food but is also dedicated to ethically sourcing with local businesses and bettering the Earth's environment with plant-based diets. My first experience at Plant City was one of pure amazement. The ambiance reminds me of a lively, small-town - but modern - bar. With a Mexican & Italian Restaurant on the second floor, a cafe & grill on the first, and outdoor dining by the river? A lively crowd makes this place perfect for a Thursday night dinner. The food is the perfect icing on top. It's quality, flavorful dishes with great attention to detail on the ingredients sourced. The fact that it's vegan and ethically produced just makes the entire dining experience more meaningful. I especially recommend the Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza from Double-Zero (a reference to the Italy-imported flour used for the dough) and the Fried "Chicken" Sandwich from new.burger. The photos/videos should speak for themselves on the attention to detail in each dish. Highly recommend every person, regardless of what kind of diet you follow, to at least try Plant City. The first bite is the coup de grâce - once you try Plant City, you're gonna come back for seconds.
