Phenomenal food! I enjoyed the chicken liver dish and will continue ordering it. This restaurant is my new favorite restaurant and will continue dining anytime I'm visiting Providence.
We dined with friends at Pot au Feu last evening and had a wonderful time. I have been to the French Laundry in Napa, considered by many to be one of the top french restaurants in the world, and I can say without reservation that Pot au Feu is hands down MUCH BETTER in every respect. The bistro delivered on substance more than flash, which is exactly what you want from classic French cooking. The beef bourguignon was a standout. The sauce had real depth & the meat was tender without falling apart. The duck cassoulet was equally strong. If you are looking for honest French comfort food done correctly, this place earns a return visit!
