The best place to eat ever 10 tumps up

Wow, wow, wow. Tonight was magical. So glad after a faux paux with the hostess we ended up sitting at the bar with the best bartender we've had in forever, Kevin. He was fantastic and made us wanting to keep ordering more And more-more drinks and more food. Can not wait to go back, soon, very very soon...

The good parts: I got the pork Belly and my wife got the salad and deviled eggs. The pork belly was epic and I will get again. The salad's flavors were delicious. Mike, the bartender was fun to talk to and attentive but not just with us. He took care of everyone equally. The bad parts: The hostess was subpar. We had reservations and showed up 5 minutes early. There wasn't a table available. She offered the worst table to us next to the door even though she was using as the host check in table. The chairs were uncomfortable and they need to be replaced.

Probably the last time I go here. Although the food is really good and our server, Kevin, was excellent the place was so noisy we couldn't hear ourselves talk. There was one table in particular of 8 young women who truly ruined the experience for everyone else. I was disappointed and surprised that no one from management said anything to them. It's unfortunate because everyone else in the place was upset and probably won't return. But I'll bet the women will return and make you lose more business. You have to draw a line somewhere and these women stepped far beyond any line of decency.

This was a return visit, so we obviously like this restaurant. Very friendly service, nice atmosphere, and very good food. The paella did not qualify as a "small plate" but I was advised of that when I ordered. It was full of clams, baby octopi, shrimp, and sausage; very tasty but a bit too salty for my taste; consider asking to have the salt ratcheted down a notch. Scallop and beet small plates were excellent. Nice beer selection. We'll be back.

Cool spot, food was great had the lobster Mac, lulas, and corn, really well made and presentation was perfect.

Very quiet around 6:30pm when two of us went for dinner on a Tuesday. One person at the bar and two other couples. Our server was the owner this evening and wish we had an actual server.

Found Red fin via yelp and wasn't disappointed. It was quiet on a Thursday evening, the service was good. These beets blew me away! They were tossed in pear vinaigrette, so delicious. 2 of their tapas servings were the perfect size for me; one meat, one veggie. I was a bit disappointed in the short rib risotto, I felt it needed more flavor.

We started off with cocktails, and 2 were watered down. Our waiter brought two fresh ones (the high point of our night) although he rushed in and out with the drinks with barely time to thank him. Our table for 3 was really for 2 and our adult daughter sat with her coat on all night as she was up against the cold outside wall leaning precariously on the fire alarm. Service was incredibly rushed; we watched all the waiters running around hurried all night, and when they came to our table with food, it was put it down with a quick "here is your....." and off they ran with no time to thank them or even tell them how good the previous dishes were. Clearly there were neither enough wait staff nor bartenders for the very busy night. And the noise level was so high we also were unable to have a nice conversation.

We went for St Valentines, even that was crowded the service was fine (could be better) however the food was WOW !!! The Ceviche, Octopus, Risotto ... well all were fantastic!!! A new favorite place in Providence ?

Really torn on this review. Food alone, this place would be an easy 5 stars. However, keeping in mind a few other aspects of my visit, I had to knock off one star. Starting with food, we opted for a few cocktails and sharing 4 tapas for the 2 of us (2 tapas per person is what was recommended). In terms of presentation and quality of the food, everything was phenomenal, from the oyster sampler (great variety, very fresh oysters) to some of the tapas (hamachi + passion fruit ceviche and the croquestas were some of our favorites). Even the cocktails were on the money. It was a busy Friday night when we visited and the service was prompt and friendly. Although it didn't bug me too much, those metal high top chairs in the front dining room were uncomfortable but - we made it work. The only issue we had was getting the check at the end of our meal. I get we are in PVD, I get that they use great ingredients and put a lot of time and love into their tapas - but we had 4 tapas for the two of us, plus the oyster sampler plus 3-4 cocktails in total and we were astonished at the bill and the fact that we were still hungry (and didn't go in with huge appetites). Happy to pay good money for good food/good portions, but c'mon. We went to another bar for some more drinks and ended up ordering food from there since we were still hungry. I'd stop by here again, but I might just keep it to drinks and maybe some appetizers - and not a full meal.

Great food and service. Prices were a little over the top for tapas. I wasn't expecting to spend $100 a head (that was with dessert and alcohol) but in the end we had a good meal.

We visited on a Saturday evening on Valentine's Day weekend, so it was very busy. Service was a bit spotty: it took awhile to be seated, to have our drink/food orders placed, and to get our drinks. The food came out very fast, however, which made up for some of the slower service earlier. The food was fantastic: the conch fritters and pork belly were our favorite of the 5 tapas we ordered. The dinner was pricey, but not unexpectedly so.
