Rogue Island is truly a hidden gem. We recently moved to Providence and this is by far our favorite restaurant. They have an amazing core menu but also a daily rotating menu full of creative, delicious specials. They always have plenty of options to choose from their draft or drink list, and plenty of NA options as well. Rogue Island is brining some serious creativity and care to what they’re doing. The owner and staff are amazing. They also play great music so it’s always a vibe!! 10/10

Best ever! I know that sounds quick and easy to say. But I’m a foodie and I know my stuff. Trust me! I travel the world, I eat, I travel, I eat, and so on. I took my girlfriend to Providence with huge expectations of a fantastic federal hill dinner. Wanting a quick lunch we saw great reviews and thought this would be a great start to a birthday celebration weekend. After being seated by Irish Kevin, a great dude, we had the absolute best service ever by seriously one of the most down to earth dudes and sincerely a great person wanting to serve great food and drinks not Irish Kevin, just Kevin. Kevin steered us towards exceptional drinks, so much good food that we had to cancel our dinner reservations. Well worth every bit of time we spent there and every bite of food we had. I don’t often leave reviews and think they should mean something. Take it from me, Kevin is the best, the menu is phenomenal, and the food is exceptional.

Excellent brunch with a warm pub atmosphere and great service. Food is very tasty, loved the pulled pork egg benedict served with shallots on tasty muffin. Local pale ale was delicious. Highly recommend it.

One of the best burgers I’ve had in my life, hands down. Local beer and farm to table food options! Bonus: there was a super convenient patio for my dog. They even brought her a water bowl without asking. Thanks to Emma our server and Sammy our host for an awesome experience. Compliments to the kitchen staff for an unforgettable birthday dinner!

The staff weren’t super hospitable or capable and the ticket times were really long for a brunch restaurant. The table was uncomfortable and the space was really loud. Our sever was new, but terribly slow and didn’t keep our water full. She came back twice after ordering to confirm portions of our order. They charge for each coffee refill for just a basic coffee which is laughable given their ridiculous menu prices.
My eggs were brown and cooked hard despite ordering over medium. I pointed this out and they brought me one egg cooked over medium and still brown instead of recooking the two eggs the dish comes with correctly. The food in general was just tepid so I’m assuming it was under a heat lamp for awhile and most egregiously, it was way under seasoned. Like, no salt on a chicken and biscuit with gravy.
Edit to address the owner response:
I ordered my eggs correctly; the yolk I was served was cooked hard, which is nowhere near over easy or over medium. I suggest the owner review with their staff how to properly cook an egg instead of trying to save face by lecturing people on how to order them. The egg that was still gooey had a broken yolk, but I said it “was perfect” because it was actually astonishing to have to send eggs back at a brunch restaurant twice for a $25 dish. All three eggs brought to me were brown.
Regarding the coffee: it tasted basic. There was nothing special about it. I’m assuming the restaurant gets it wholesale; usually roasters do this for a lesser-quality coffee than they brew in-house and sell it with their name.
Regarding the service—I’m not sure how you could say we were “accommodated.” We had a reservation and were seated at a tiny table in a loud room. The server took our order and came back twice for follow up questions like “how would you like your eggs cooked” when ordering huevos rancheros. We were left without water for much of our visit and kept having to ask for refills. That’s not great service. She was kind, but she went neither above nor beyond.

Ok! I had saved this place as a must go but when I say I'm so happy I did. Food was sooo worth it. Super flavourful and drinks are good too. My server Ali was super attentive. The only thing is they are very stern about making reservations (staff got upset someone let us sit down without scanning, but I didn't know.) which is understandable because they do get busy. Overall will definitely come again.

What a perfect find in Providence!! We enjoyed every minute and bite!! The restaurant is dog friendly on the patio which is perfect for those traveling with a pooch!! The menu offers delicious and unique twists on comfort food favorites. It’s no wonder they have won so many awards - DELICIOUS food!! The own is super kind and accommodating as well. He even came out on the patio to greet us and meet our dog. Love the personal service, small business at its very best!! Excellent restaurant and we highly recommend.
