My husband and I had made reservations almost two weeks in advance to celebrate my birthday, but when we arrived at the restaurant, we found that it was closed. In fact, a pedestrian passing by was the one who informed us that the restaurant had been shut down due to some violence that had occurred.

What’s most frustrating is that we were never notified about the closure. Instead, we continued to receive automatic messages about our reservation, leading us to believe that the restaurant was still open. The lack of communication and management was deeply disappointing, especially considering how much time and effort went into planning this special evening. Had we known earlier, we could have made alternative arrangements and adjusted our plans in advance.

To add insult to injury, I even received an automated message afterward asking if we enjoyed our dining experience — a clear indication that there’s a serious lack of attention to detail and guest care on the part of the restaurant.

I truly wish there had been better communication so that my birthday celebration wouldn’t have been ruined. This experience has left a sour taste, and I cannot recommend this restaurant based on the poor management and complete lack of respect for their customers' time and plans.

I gave this place a 3 star because the food was either overcooked on.....Some dishes and undercooked on others. There were some things on the menu that they ran out of. The 🔥 alarm went off just a few minutes before we were done eating. Yikes!! However, I want to say and stress, that our waitress, Jasmine was amazingly Kind and respectful she has a beautiful personality and is an extremely hard worker. She really made it a wonderful experience. Thank you Jas🌹

I was pleasantly greeted and seated right away. The staff were nice and attentive. Like most places, some days/hours are busier than others so make reservations just in case to avoid waiting. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and good music. The bartenders make excellent cocktails and most of the items on the menu taste good (I haven’t tried everything yet).

Saje Kitchen is an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the friendly staff and the ambiance was just perfect with great music playing in the background. The food was amazing and my drink was equally delightful. The restaurant itself is also beautifully decorated adding to The overall experience. I can't wait to go back and see what else saje has to offer 10/10 recommend.

I’ve been to Saje over 20 times no exaggeration, But I think this last visit was my last visit. We were seated and had to wait 10 minutes for our waitress. We ordered a hookah which took 30 minutes… once the hookah came out so did our food. So we just literally sat there for half an hour doing nothing. If I’m paying a $200 tab I’d expected my $30 jerk chicken sandwich not to come on a stale bun and have no flavor. I don’t know what’s going on with Saje but i hope it gets figured out. The owner is always kind and always around. I’m not sure what the issue is here but the food is lacking the menu is changing and the service is HORRIBLE. If you do go in sit at the bar the bartender is great & always gives great service.. that’s about it.

Dirty cups, overpriced, bland under seasoned food im not sure what happen to this place but the food was SO GOOD. I'm sure they got a new chef because the food is just not hitting anymore. They also seemed to be very unorganized when I came in early for brunch at 11. They also charged us 130 for 1 bottomless mimosa, 2 sparkling water, French toast and shrimp and grits meal. We complained and they nashe it 110... we will never be returning. Adios

Last night we came to RI to celebrate my husband's 48th birthday. My cousin suggested that we go to Saje for dinner after leaving Freeplay and before going to the Cadillac Lounge. There was a large group of 11 with us and they serviced all of us with no prior reservation. Which I appreciated!!! The restaurant atmosphere is very relaxed and chill. The bathroom was clean and I loved that they have real candles. Very romantic. . Music was exactly our vibe. We had the rum punch for 4. Delicious!!!!

With a large party it is expected that there may be bumps in the road. My husband is a cook so it can be challenging to go out to eat with him and often times we eat at home. With that being said husband ordered the saje ragoon, it was significantly overcooked. He also ordered creole jambalaya, while the shrimp and fish was really good and the rice was seasoned well but was also overcooked and hard, as if it was scrapped from the bottom of the pan.

The waitress had challenges. She didn't introduce herself so I never knew her name. In her defense she was distracted by two of the single men in our party who kept talking to her while she was trying to take and serve our order. She became flustered and overwhelmed and I think she should have asked or received help from her team. The result was, by the time I received my southern fried chicken with parmesan penne our entire party had finished eating and we were ready for the bill.

I ended up warming my food in the microwave and eating when I returned to my Airbnb to change between the next venu. However, my food was very very tasty.

Would I try Sage again? YES!!!! Would I bring a large group? No.

Went on a Sunday eve before catching a show.
What a horrific mistake! We tried to order a glass of white wine to start, and they had NONE. The entire restaurant, and not a glass of white. She said she also had no more Prosecco as well…. Except two glasses. We took a chance, and not sure what it was, but it wasn’t Mionetto!
Sent those back as well. She found a half bottle of “Chardonnay”. Couldn’t get past the first sip. Sour! Disgusting swill! Fully lowered our expectations for a glass of Pinot Noir. Couldn’t get past the second sip. More garbage!
Ordered 2 entrees, which were adequate at best. Couldn’t deal with the loud noise, and 90% of the few people drunk singing, and vaping. We asked for the check to get there hell out of whatever we walked into. It wasn’t a restaurant. AND the kicker is that swill and alleged food cost us $123!
2 nasty glasses of wine, and 2 entrees for $123!
This place will be closed soon!
