Tried Sommer’s corner for the first time today. The Mac and Cheese had NO flavor, the yellow rice is definitely yellow rice from Goya and the chicken had no seasoning. Tried to force myself to finish it because I paid $15 and couldn’t even get half of it down. I’ll never, ever go back there again.

This restaurant is GREAT! The customer service is excellent, the food is flavorful, and the bathroom as well as the restaurant is very clean. They also play music and it’s a nice vibe. Menu changes so you get a chance to try different things. Ribs fell apart as I picked it up!

Amazing Food Amazing People who run the place. The Family is so super kind friendly and professional. Those wings were nothing to play with. I took a chance on Buffalo And Garlic Wings. I never get Buffalo style that tears my stomach up. These wings had the perfect heat with the garlic flavor so the combination was perfect. I will be back for the Fish can't wait. Amen to the Family keep keeping on. AAA+

The food is deliciously prepared, tastes homemade. We had fried chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens and potato salad. We ate everything gone, gone. The establishment is tastefully decorated, and it is clean. The service was exceptional. Thanks for great food and warm friendly service.

Cajun fish and chips was BOMB!! I almost never finish my takeout plates but this one got punished. Thank you to all the friendly and accommodating staff ! P.S. this place was SPOTLESS.

“If I could give more stars, I WOULD” -words from my partner ? Honestly, I don’t know why we hadn’t come here sooner! We started off w/ two plates: 1) fried fish, baked mac & green beans 2) baked chicken, yellow rice & green beans. Both dishes: BOMB! That baked Mac was super creamy and full of flavor. That baked chicken was fall off the bone and so delicious! Next thing you know, we get served some cornbread, and good God almighty that was IMMACULATE - top 2 and not #2. Oh, and on top of that they served us apple cake fresh out the oven. Man this food was so good and the service was amazing too. I’m definitely coming back!

This was my first time eating at this Soul food Fusion Restaurant in Rhode Island and it definitely will not be my last. Being from New York City, I thought that I have tasted "Good Food" but I was wrong. Sommer's Corner is DELICIOUS!!! Customer Hospitality is Great and you can even meet Sommer the Owner/ Chef. The person who waited on me was unprofessional. I asked for the price he looked annoyed and said I don’t know $15 to $19. I was told Mac and cheese was a 25 min wait I waited 40 minutes for the Mac and cheese to be done. I paid for my food and wait for the fried chicken wings to be done. They bring three chicken wings he takes one out the plate and ate it right there in front of me. I asked him how many wings with my order he tells me only two it’s 19.00 for an extra wing. The plate with the oven chicken came with four pieces. As far as the food it looks and tastes very good. Compliments to the chef great soul food. Something’s are better left unsaid but with the young mans demeanor and attitude I will not be returning.

Sommer was Very neatly decorated, presentation was on point as well as taste?, Mac n Cheese ? had my mouth watery for sure, no different from a capital grille Lobster Mac ofc w out the Lobster … for fraction of the WHOLE meal! Only downfall was buy the whole plate. Can’t be too selectively, great for them hungry Faded session won’t regret Time & money spent.Keep up the Work Team definitely got something different going on here !! Will be returning

Dope vibes in this amazing soul food spot. Plenty of street and off street parking. Friendly family business atmosphere with hip hop vapors throughout. The food is hot fresh and packed with flavor! Wing Wednesday and brunch on Sundays are not to be missed. Come by and have some Mac and cheese that you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere other than the south. You won't be disappointed!

Found this spot while we were in Providence for a conference my husband was at. The food is just the best. We had the Cajun fried fish, greens, Mac and cheese and banana pudding. All of it was some of the best I have ever had. But the Mac and cheese was a whole other level. My husband actually stopped to watch me take my first bite because he wanted to see my first reaction. Wow! This family restaurant is one you should head towards if you are anywhere in Rhode Island. It’s worth the detour. And if you’re in Providence, get there for sure.

Paid 20$ for 3 chicken wings and a scoop of Mac n cheese. Got home with my plate and I was suppose to have double Mac n cheese and when I called the said they can’t do double Mac. Why wouldn’t you inform your customer of that? I’ll never go back ridiculously expensive. Just beware you will be paying 20$ for a plate of Togo food that is just ok.
